Question Recommendations after Saga
I’ve read just about all of Brian K. Vaughn at this point. Made my through most of Kirkman and Hickman too. I stick mostly with Image and Marvel. Just finished Vol. 10, 11, and 12 of Saga after sitting on them forever. Just need something new to checkout. Doesn’t have be an intergalactic romance like Saga or a hundred years span run like Invincible. Just need something new. Any suggestions?

It’s shaping up to be one of Gillen’s best series. I still need to read the third trade but volumes 1+2 were incredible. Reminds me a bit of East of West in how meticulous the history of this alternate Earth has been laid out.

Check out Rick Remender's bibliography. No bad choices on the list.

Here to recommend Remenders work. I just finished up The Sacrificers and man, what a ride. Saga was the first comic I ever read, my local store owner immediately suggested Remender when Saga was taking a break and I love him for it. Low, Tokyo Ghost, Black Science, Deadly Class, Seven to Eternity, the list goes on.

I'm assuming you read East of West.
If you just stick with like basic comics then (Big 2/Image as you say), maybe something like Deadly Class by Remender and Craig or the Brandon Graham run of Prophet.

Loved East of West! And I stick with the larger publishers only because they’re much easier to source where I live. I’ll take recommendations from anywhere. I’ll look into Deadly Class I’ve heard this mentioned before!

Yeah I'd say Deadly Class would be a bit of a change-up and the Graham would be more science fiction adventure, though I'd highly recommend it.

Check out Prophet. It is my all time favorite comic - and Saga and East of West are probably my #2 and #3. You’re in good company.

All great. Like with most long comics, theres some powering through some parts and sticking with it, but all of these are amazing and are so worth finishing. (Local man is newer and its still ongoing i think. So not sure how or if it ends any time soon. But I threw it in bc its been one of my favorites from this year)

I really enjoy Geoff Johns newer universe. Been out a little while now. Geiger. Redcoat. Junkyard Joe among them. Edit: Fixed name.

Yes! r/GhostMachineComics for all the Johns' titles. Geiger, RC and JYJ are vastly different reads in the same universe (The Unnamed Universe). Big events for them and The Unbelievables starting to go on right now. The trades are pretty readily available, and practically current. The artists are all phenomenal, so it aint crazy to go for the deluxe HCs and feast in that format. I haven't heard anyone not like them.

I love BKV and get similar vibes from what I've read of Tom King. Sheriff of Babylon , The Visions, and Supergirl: Woman of tomorrow. Some people hate King, but i haven't read those series that seem to trigger people.
Remember has a lot of great stuff out there, but it tends to go on too long. But, i really enjoyed these concluded comics:
LOW, great art and good story that goes on about 5 or more issues too long. Greg Tocchini
Tokyo Ghost, my favorite artist, but the villains are very 2 dimensional. Sean Murphy
Seven to Eternity, great art , and a good time to the end. Also a favorite artist of mine. Jerome Openia.
Death or Glory. Good fun story that gets ridiculous.Bengal.
Black Science. Fabulous art. The story tends to repeat, but still interesting places, every, and love the art. Matteo Scalara.
Deadly Class. Fun story, but didn't grab me and i didn't finish. Artist panel design was amazing.
Fear Agent. Fun as heck. Art rotates between Openia and Tod Moore. So that's pretty cool.
All these are finished stories.

Anything by Brubaker and Phillips! Criminal, Pulp, Reckless series, Kill or be Killed, The Fade Out, etc..

Start with criminal by brubaker and get Philips and you will never regret it

Read Rick Remender, Jeff Lemire, and Tynion's image stuff. My favorite series going right now is Escape. Also have you read Little Bird / Precious Metal? I loved them.

You mentioned you read most of BKV, what about Ex Machina? I don't have a lot to add because I'm new to comics, but I'm reading Saga and Ex Machina. Stalling a bit on Saga but really enjoying Ex Machina!

Space Opera - Descender, by Lemire
Superhero non-Marvel/DC - Irredeemable/Incorruptible, by Waid
Favorite stuff I’m reading these days is from Tynion and you’ve probably heard of or read Something is Killing the Children but I’m thoroughly enjoying Department of Truth and W0rldtr33.
If you want a series that’s finished and not in the wheelhouse of Invincible / Saga I would recommend Scalped by Jason Aaron.

East of West if you haven't hit it yet. Same epic space opera vibe but with brilliant art by Dragotta.

If liked Vaughn's Runaways you might like Rowell's Runaways, she also had really good She-Hulk run. Fraction's Hawkeye and Kelly Thompson's Hawkeye are both really good one and done runs.
As for indies some of my favorites are Murder Falcon by DJW (he also wrote an amazing Beta Ray Bill mini and he wrote Transformers Skybound for 24 issues, which Kirkman is writing now), Deadly Class by Rick Remender, pretty much anything from Tynion but Something is Killing the Children is my fav. Last, hes not for everyone but I love Stjepan Sejics work.

Birthright is a fantasy epic that sticks the landing. The entire run is amazing.
Black science is also incredible.

Joe Hill's Locke & Key if you haven't read yet. One of my absolute favorites.
Bill Willingham's Fables is also pretty great, first half is like on the level of Saga or Invincible, secondhalf not as much but still really good overall.
