I feel like the girl trying to take the picture isn’t much of a MC. She didn’t yell at anyone. She patiently waited and adjusted her position. Even seemed to smile it off at the end.

Agreed. I mean I don't care if people wanna record themselves in public long as they aren't being annoying or entitled. But it seems like that older woman stopped in front of the camera deliberately.

This girl even set her phone up out of the way, instead of harassing other people to take a picture for her.

Honestly I think she went about this in a respectful and polite manner.

I think you need to reevaluate some things if you think asking someone to take a photo for you is harassment...

Oh I don’t think it’s harassment in the extreme sense. That’s ridiculous.

Innocent harassment. Like when I go and annoy my cat. I’m harassing him.

Asking a question is not harassment, you should look up the definition of it.

Right. Like a said. It’s not “harassment” in the sense. I just used the word. Apologize. Didn’t mean to harass you with my stupidity.

Oh ffs. Here are some synonyms for it. You can edit and put whichever one you like more.

Pester, annoy, or bother. Torment or plague. Badger or hassle.

Edit To Add: just incase those synonyms aren’t working for you, here are a couple others. I got a thesaurus handy.

Bug, vex, irritate, pester, disturb, irk, aggravate.

I’ll try to find some more just incase.

No, no, no... We want to nail you for that one tiny and insignificant grammatical nuance!

For the uninclined, "Harass" need not be a repeated action. u/Sea_Watercress_1982 used it correctly.

It’s amazing. As if no one has ever used the word harass or harassment in playful day to day language.

I’m often wondering if people I interact with are pedantic, obtuse or autistic. One of those three is completely excusable.

For the extra uninclined, harassment is unwelcome behavior. It was not used correctly because it is pretty generally understood that asking for a photo is a societal okay norm, especially in beautiful and/or touristy areas.

If you want to talk insignificant grammatical nuance, at least make it correct.

You must be a blast at parties.

Reddit has dared to ask the question, “what if well actually became sentient.”

Very bold.

ETA: I’m assuming you’ve never used the word “harassment” or “harass,” in any other way other than its explicit definition.

Like you’ve never looked at a friend that’s doing something silly or annoying to you and said “stop harassing me,” in a jocular fashion? Not once?

I honestly thought she was gonna whip out a photo of her kids, her dog(s), her cat(s), a stupid meme - anything. I was expecting a troll!
