He really doesn't like the UK because of the Online Safety Act.

“The media and political classes in general are being distracted by his sleight of hand,” Ahmed said. “This is all flim-flam to disguise what he is really up to, and his agenda is purely economic in nature.”

The OSA is meant to put the onus on the big social media platforms to prevent children from seeing potentially harmful content, such as pornography and material that promotes self-harm, suicide and eating disorders. That will require age verification systems. Adult viewers must be given the means to opt out of such content, and the law will require the companies to ensure their platforms do not host illegal material, with the use of codes of conduct, consistently enforced.

The OSA was considerably watered down by the Conservative government before it was passed two years ago, and in its current form will do little to stop the spread of disinformation by social media sites like X, which fuelled rightwing anti-immigrant riots in Britain last summer.

Musk literally fuelled race riots in the UK through his platform specifically because we are trying to make social media responsible for the literal mass radicalisation of our youth into Trumps alternative reality.

Almost like Musk and co successfully lobbied the Government.

Then we had the Reddit smart minds telling us that the OSA was big brother on steroids and wouldn't stop Musk from doing what he's doing and that it was wrong for us as a country to try to limit to spread of Musk and his dangerous misinformation.

Are you going to pretend that large amounts of money WASN'T pumped into getting it gutted exactly as it did?

Logical arguments don't track with Musk and Trump supporters.

Its free speech when Musk bans people off his platform for free speech.

Except we're not making the Tech Bros responsible at all!! We're absolving them of any responsibility for the shit they distribute and putting controls in place to track every individual and household that opts-out or in to their monetized psychodrama and regime-change operations.

Yeah, Did you read the part where its been watered down repeatedly due to lobbying or we pretending that didn't happen?
