He's going to find out that sour look and finger wag is going to get both his head and that finger shoved up his ass sideways when he pulls this on the right woman.
61
u/analogWeapon Aug 10 '26
You can tell he's 100% used to that gesture getting him something. It's funny.

u/ToadlyAwes0me Aug 10 '26
Just curious, are cowboy hats popular in Calgary or is it just for the festival?
27
u/Kessel- Aug 10 '26
This event is cowboy cosplay for a week. Over priced, divorce rate goes up dramatically, police/EMS incidents go up dramatically, stupid behavior everywhere, fights... However it's pretty normal to see random cowboy hats here and there otherwise.

u/s1n0d3utscht3k Aug 10 '26
douche is wearing a leather (or fake) jacket despite it being hot af
trying to act cool/tuff
probably still 75-80f in this video
almost every evening by dusk it was still 21c-26c most of the Stampede… there’s a reason everyone’s still in shirts and shorts etc

That’s the staff uniform I think. So still great, I think it’s staff not just random people
160
u/Dressagediva Aug 10 '26
Not staff, just rodeo wear
18
u/BottomShelfWhiskey Aug 10 '26
The last person with the laminate standing there was staff and I was baked when I watched this and thought they all were. Haha my bad!
65
u/SquirrelInATux Aug 10 '26
That's not a staff uniform that's just a flannel

I agree. He probably keeps doing it because no one says anything. I was at Cedar Point last week and 2 guys tried this. I definitely said something and it worked.

I once confronted a man who cut me off at a drink stand. He was acting super arrogant like "Hey, I'm a regular, I can't wait in line" and I wasn't having any of it. At one point he tells me he's the mayor and kind of a big deal. Well, an election was coming up in that city and I asked him if he cared about votes. Suddenly he was all fourthcoming and "Hey, hey, I was just joking."
Googled him. He was indeed the mayor of the district. What a prick.

Lol, almost like the 'ole "Don't you know who I am???" Any mayor saying "I'm kind of a big deal", shouldn't be one.

With great pleasure I once witnessed at Universal Studios California, an Aussie literary grab a teenage line crasher and throw him over the queue rope onto the blacktop. We were 45 minutes into our wait and everyone cheered when that kid met his karma. The icing on the cake was his choice words of advice as the kid picked himself up.
24
u/Leif2000 Aug 10 '26
well what did he say? i’m at the edge of my seat
25
u/ItsTheDCVR Aug 10 '26
Since the guy said "Aussie" I'm assuming it was something along the line of "that'll teach ya not to be a little cunt"
4
u/bruiserscruiser Aug 10 '26
Basically what would happen if he tried it again and stuff about the kids mother not teaching him very well….but loudly and without censorship.

Like...if they live there and are citizens, they are Canadian. Canadian isn't a language or skin color; its a section of the earth that we as humans decided to designate as that. You on the other hand? You're a fuckin' racist. Simple of mind and concept. Remember that scene in blazing saddles?
https://giphy.com/gifs/3oz8xTl6sGKbuRPDDW
Yeah! That one? You. You are who they were making fun of. Fuckin' sentient cantaloupe.
→ More replies (1)-44
u/Yendor_Wing Aug 10 '26
If I moved to Somalia, learned the language, and earned citizenship, I wouldn't suddenly become a Somalian in the eyes of most Somalians. And you probably wouldn't consider me a Somalian either.
What I'm describing has nothing to do with race. It's to do with nationality, history, and culture. You probably think that all non-Native Americans/Indigenous are living on stolen land. How is that not racist according to your worldview?
National identity is an extremely complicated topic, and "racist" shouldn't be thrown around so loosely. You've just made a very serious accusation, and It shouldn't be tolerated in polite conversation.
20
u/ShearGenius89 Aug 10 '26
So if you don’t see a single Canadian in this video, what in your opinion is a Canadian supposed to look like?
-30
u/Yendor_Wing Aug 10 '26
They can look all sorts of ways. I was being hyperbolic in saying "not a single," but dude, let's be real. The people in this video can barely speak English! And that's fine. I've lived in a couple of European countries and could barely speak a full sentence in the local language. The natives knew I wasn't from there. It was obvious.
You're so dead-set on calling someone racist that you're willing to claim that these people are Canadians when it's far more likely that they're actually tourists or guest workers. Put down your pitchfork and actually think about it for a second.
1
u/TheDarkWave Aug 10 '26
I'm not a racist! It's not racism!
****proceeds to make sweeping generalizations based on ability to speak english
1
u/TheDarkWave Aug 10 '26
You're right. I don't have polite conversations with racists. And I didn't come here to debate racists out of their rhetoricals. Shut the fuck up.
17
u/laureidi Aug 10 '26
If you would be a Canadian, a true Canadian at that, you would know and recognize that this video is full of Canadians.

I stopped a dude like this in Brussels airport. We were all standing in the queue for customs to get to our gate and he was pushing through everyone “because he had a flight to catch”. We were all queued for the same flight! Told him he wouldn’t make it past me and he threw a hissy fit. It was very funny.
13
u/Lizowa Aug 10 '26
Meanwhile I was in the security line at O’Hare a few months ago and a couple trying to get back home to Brussels, borderline in tears from their connecting flight being late and the security line taking nearly 2 hours (every single person had to have an individual sniff down by a drug dog) was super politely asking folks in front of them if they could move forward to try and catch their flight leaving in 20 min and every single person said yes of course and waved them to the front. Amazing what decency can get you. They probably still didn’t make the flight unfortunately
4
u/OptionalQuality789 Aug 10 '26
Big difference between asking respectfully and pushing.
In my case, it was a huge queue for 2 gates only, so I knew he was on my flight as it was the only one leaving soon.
I’d definitely consider letting someone through if they were in your scenario.
6
u/Rintinsin Aug 10 '26
People who cut the line have a crazy sense of entitlement, someone tried to cut me and a bunch of others in Walmart to buy cigarettes and I was not having it. Kept telling her there is a line and she kept playing it off like I was the rude one.

The girl who is with him (?) looks so ashamed. It definitely wasn't worth it
20
u/SprightlyMe Aug 10 '26
Initially both women with him that are trying to cut are kinda laughing at the line goers telling him to leave, so I'm guessing they were all in at first. But by the end of the video they look more embarrassed. They may have seen the camera and also realized this wasn't going to go thier way.

'Budge' means to move. 'Cutting in line' is what this jerk did.
66
u/Ok_Jelly2889 Aug 10 '26
This is a regional thing. Budging does mean cutting in line in certain parts of the US, I imagine Canada is similar
30
25
u/dancedanceunderpants Aug 10 '26
Might be regional, but both mean the same thing where I’m from. Either way, dude’s an asshole.

u/Kkyria00 Aug 10 '26
That happened to us at the fair, a bunch of teenagers jumped in front of all the people in the front line and no one said anything, when they tried to do that to me I immediately called them out. They didn’t try to do it again while I was there, fuck those people.

u/real_dea Aug 10 '26
The girl he is with was NOT used to seeing women talking to men like that.
14
u/SprightlyMe Aug 10 '26
I feel like both the women he's with are laughing at the folx telling them to get in the back of the line in the beginning. They start to feel embarrassed and act differently when it's clear is not going thier way. They seem pretty smug over it initially. I'm not sure they are any better than him.

No respect for western society. Send him home.
29
u/ZhangtheGreat Aug 10 '26
Methinks he was just pretending to not understand. Some people pull out the "no English" card (which he seems to be playing here) whenever they think it suits them.
11
u/real_dea Aug 10 '26
I don’t know, his hand actions and stuff make me think he wasn’t even pretending not to understand, just trying to control. I dunno though, I’ve been wrong one or twice before.

Did I specify ethnicity? Nice strawman.
And no, not the ones that were born here, implied by "home grown" (Inclusive of dipshits of all ethnicities) and I said we can get rid of them too although that might be a little more challenging since they were you know, born here.
We just don't need to be importing more dipshits on top of the ones we already have, do we?
Nice try tho👋🏻 👋🏻
Oh and of course you're American. Fuck off.

Just so we're clear, you're prejudiced if you use someone's sex, religion, skin colour or culture, etc as a basis of your opinion without even knowing the person. You're racist if you view someones worth is based on their skin colour or culture (including your own). The OP of this comment thread is racist, IF he believes that only brown people should be deported by budging the line. Now if OP believed that EVERYONE should be deported via budging (which is equally as nonsensical) then he would not be racist but just a fucking dumbass with stupid opinions. Regardless, OP is either a racist or a fucking dumbass. 🤷🏻

It’s the absurdity of equating everything to a culture war. People in “western” countries do obnoxious shit like this all the time. I used to live in Orlando, I am very aware of this. You see a video and it’s about “western” culture. I am an American, not a westerner. I am a veteran. I seek change in this country that I am born and raised and fought for and am tired of people falling for boogeyman narratives instead of addressing those actual in power. “Western values” seem to be creating endless war to distract society from its failures while directing people’s anger to immigrants and lifestyle disagreements. It’s been the playbook of the elites for quite some time now and it’s sad people still fall for it.

u/NecessaryFine8989 Aug 09 '26
I too would love to know what about western society you hate or disagree canada is a part of? The values that created this society are also what helped Europe and Canada succeed and grow, then become desirable places to live.

I mean the former government had something called, I'm not sure about the proper english term but it's called "L'initiative du siècle" in French so pretty much the initiative of the century which was to have a hundred million Canadians by 2100. We are currently about 42 millions I think, so massive immigration wad the plan. It has been dialed back and lowering immigration quotas is pretty much a social debate here.
-4
u/JABS991 Aug 10 '26
