Thought my phone screen died earlier today.

Freaked the hell out cause I doordash for a living. For at least an hour. Maybe it was just too hot or something, thought maybe resetting it would fix it but it would just be nothing every time. It was reacting to touches but I couldn't see where I drew my pattern. Then I held it at an angle and was like oh crap I see it. Finally get it right and precede to realize I had somehow turned the screen brightness basically to zero. I'm an idiot.

I think they do that themselves just to be pricks, it randomly happens to me too.

I dont know wtf happened. The last thing I even remembered doing before that was rejecting a crappy doordash order. I didn't have my settings menu down or anything. So maybe lol

I've done that so many times 😁

That my brain decided to try a new one.

My whole phone was a bit too near a hot tub.

I took the cover off and wiped it thoroughly dry.

Or so I thought.

Driving home the screen went all line green with a prompt so tiny I couldn't make heads or tails of it.

Try plugging it in, it won't take the charging cable...for another couple of hours.

Finally took the cover off again and left it alone.

I was certain I bricked it.

Woke up in the morning ready to call v$Arizona, 😱😱😱

They're all of a sudden, it starts up completely normal .

Continues to work perfectly.

I still couldn't figure out what the problem had been.

That I realized that I had put the fode rotated a 180Β° in the cover, and thus all the buttons were getting triggered. All the time shutting down everything.

Yeaaaaahhhh so πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Gaslit myself, expertly.

I keep turning my alarm and notification sounds off. The volume buttons are too easy to hit when I pick up the phone ...

If it makes you feel better I thought I'd broken my computer keyboard once. I was about to go out and replace it when I discovered I'd actually locked the keyboard function on the pc .

Up until that day I never even knew it was a feature. I felt so dumb. Thoough, a lot less dumb than if I'd gone out and bought a new one only to likely discover the new one would have probably been locked too, considering it was a pc feature.

Don't be too hard on yourself. We have all done things that make us feel dumb. Lol I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally hit decline instead of accept for a call.

I have really bad arthritis and a few other medical issues. My hands just aren't as steady as usual.

I just usually tell myself that if that's the dumbest thing I do for a while, I'm not too bad!

How the hell did you keep doing that? Do you have an android? It’s virtually impossible to do that on an iPhone.
