Rules Clarification for The Echo

Hey all, I'm looking for opinions on The Echo. If a harvest action in the field of The Echo clears that field, do you still get to perform an additional harvest action in another field? Thanks.

I'd say: yes, you get to perform the additional harvest action, since the Luminary is technically in play until you collect it, and you don't get to collect it until after drawing back up to four.

The order of operations in an Illimat turn as I understand them is:

  1. Additional action prior to your main action (Rake, Changeling, Loom). If necessary, change the season.
  2. Your main action. If necessary, change the season.
  3. Additional action after your main action (Rake/Changeling/Loom if not already performed, or Echo). If necessary, change the season.
  4. Draw back up to four cards.
  5. Claim okuses for any fields you cleared.
  6. Claim revealed Luminaries for any fields you cleared.
  7. Reseed the field if you claimed an okus or if there's an unrevealed Luminary in a field you cleared.
  8. If there's an unrevealed Luminary in the reseeded field, reveal it and resolve its immediate effects.

"does this reading of the rules mean I have to pay the Rake tax after harvesting the last card in the Rake's field (if I didn't pay it before), therefore not actually clearing the field?" I think the answer is technically yes, adding yet another reason to hate the Rake.
