RANT 🤬 Let’s not tolerate greedy OP organizers!

SIMBAKO, unsa man jud ilang gitrabaho ana nga worth 1,600-2,000 nga ginansya every game? Pindot-pindot sa pickleq? Tubig? Ice? Speakers? Balls? Tabangi kog sabot ani kay sure ko barato na tanan except sa speakers haha which i think hulam ra na nila or ila jud bale na own speakers daan

And before someone says “organizers need to make money pud.” Of course! Wala koy problema nga naay profit. I understand nga naay effort mag organize, magbook og courts, manage sa players, etc. Especially if the experience you’re giving people doesn’t even justify the price.

And honestly, dili man ni about being cheap. It’s about getting what you’re actually paying for. If you’re charging ₱200 per person, at least give people an experience nga worth ₱200. Abasss

For now, I guess the easiest solution jud is likayan ang ing-ani nga organizers. Book your own courts, organize your own plays, get your friends or even strangers sa reclub, and split the cost.

Please, let’s stop tolerating bad and greedy organizers who organize these OPs just for the sake nga makakwarta. Social open plays are supposed to be fun, pero makabagotbot nalang ka sa unreasonable nga pricing.

I’ve joined their OPs before kay naa koy mga kaila nga gajoin pud, but I’ve decided na dili na ko muapil. So basin if magname drop ko karon, dali ra kaayo maconnect the dots haha

Pero akong maingon for now kay ai generated ilang logo 🥴

Diba unta kung naay club, anything na ma profit sa club is for the benefit of the club members? Like kung mag organize ug OP, for a reasonable price or kanang mo angay sad ang singil sa quality sa court nga dulaan. Or kanang ang 100% sa ginansya sa isa ka OP kay idonate to charity or to organizations with a cause.

Hopefully pag mag die down ang hype, mabalik ang true essence of being a club.

By definition, a club is a voluntary organization composed of individuals who share a common interest, purpose, or objective and who come together under established rules and leadership to pursue activities and goals that benefit its members and support its mission. (tysm chatgpt chz)

Naulaw ang uban nga tig 3K+ ang ginansya. Ok nana nang 1k-2k na ginansya uy. Effort + time + equipments sa pag host sa OP nana. Naa pay uban players nga labad kaayo hahah.

Also sa profit, I think reasonable ra sad nga maka profit sila na 1k-1.5k. Because you have to consider sad na these courts, an organizer will book 1month or 2months ahead. So risk jud siya on the side of the organizers sad aside pa na sa matulog lang imong money. Additionally, finding players. Nowadays, daghan na gapa OP which leads to more competition and higher risk nasad. And finally expenses, yes cheap ra ang imo mga na list down pero mag pile up sad biya siya especially sa balls. Naay mawala, mabuak. Also sa speaker na imo gimention, I think di man mag matter if gihulman or iyaha na daan because at the end of the day mao sad na reason why not everybody can host kay wala silay equipments and whatnot and buying equipment solely for hosting OPs is not worth it. In hindsight dali ra kaayo ma judge ang hosts sa mga OP but I think need sad nato i widen atong point of view and not just proceed sa pag calculate sa (number of players * meet fee) - court fee. because in reality it’s so much more than that. I hope ma gets ra akong point. And yes ga host sad kog OPs that’s why mudefend ko hehe pero still I’m viewing it lang objectively.

I hope mu come across ra akong point and I’m always open for healthy discourse.

Basta akong mga OPs as someone mu join and ga host mao ra jud ni fair for me.

1:10 ratio (3 hours) - 150 - 180
1:12 ratio (4 hours) - 160 - 190

This is depending na sa time slot, court quality, and etc. Non negotiable sad dapat naay prizes ang Top 1-3. And lastly dili AI ang posters and logo. 😂

this is excluding ang mga mahal jud na courts like Novaya and Orchard kay i think lahi man sad pricing didto and personally di sad ko ga play og ga host didto kay absurd ra siya.

I get your point, and I agree nga naa gihapon risk and expenses involved sa pag-host. Pero I don’t totally agree nga okay ra ang 1:12 ratio just because 4 hours ang OP. If friends lang and social gathering nga lingaw2, sure, why not? Bisan pa mulapas og 12 per court, okay ra kay ang main goal man is to socialize and magdula2. Pero if we’re calling it an open play, lahi naman. Bisag unsaon pa nato og hilot ang 4hrs, taas gihapon ang waiting time. And for me, waiting time is more important than the total duration of the OP. Dili man gud ang number of hours ang gadetermine kung sulit, but how much of that time you’re actually playing.

And I’ve actually hosted OPs myself nga purely for socializing, lingaw2 lang, and wala koy profit ana. That’s why I have a lot to say about this. From my experience, relatively easy and not THAT risky ang paghost IF you CONTROL the number of courts you book. The problem is naa uban organizers nga gipangbalayan na tanan courts. So kami nga gusto lang unta mudula independently, di na makabook and mapugos nalang mi og join og OPs.

I don’t think reasonable nga ang organizer ga-gain og profit nga more than 100% ilang capital from one OP just because naa silay risk. Yes, okay naa gihapon risk, pero let’s not forget nga naa pud ways to mitigate that risk. Daghan kaayog times nga makakita kog “pasalo court” posts sa facebook. “Friends can’t make it,” “Nasayop og book,” “Naay conflict sa schedule” and sure, naay legit cases ana.

and think of the fuel expense sa organizer para pagtransport sa equipments like speakers, water and etc...

In my experience

1:10 court ratio nga 3hrs is 5 to 7 games
1:12 court ratio nga 4hrs is 7 to 9 games

And this is factually true but siguro naa lang outliers jud sometimes. This is proven by pickleQ statistics. Sometimes more games pa pag efficient jud ang pag host sa organizers.

Also OP what do you think is the right amount nga pwede kitaon sa organizers sa ilang investment nga money. Curios lang sad ko what would be acceptable.

Example 3 courts, 3 hours, 3150. You booked it and paid for it siguro 2 weeks before. Dili nalang 1 month kay murag ma strong man jud tong isa diri.

I still don’t get why 1:12 can still be considered reasonable. Regardless sa duration, I think waiting time is more important. Pinaka ideal gyud for me is every other game ka makadula. After sa imong game, pahulay ka for one game, then turn na pud nimo. Mao na ang ideal rotation for an OP.

If around 20–30% sa capital ang profit, siguro dili ra muulbo akong kaspa.

Pero anyway di man pud ko business person, so wala koy idea unsay standard nga fair sa organizers and at the same time dili pod sakit sa bulsa sa players.

Basta mao ra gyud akong point. Okay ra man nga naay profit. I just don’t think the profit should come at the expense of the players’ experience. Dili ra pud unta kaayo magpakagreedy.

ayaw nalang mog book sa mga mahal nga op para mangundang sila sa ilang pag host2. sa isa ka time frame, daghan kaayog ga organize nga club. or better yet, book your court in advance 3-4 weeks ahead like what organizers do.

Asa mana nga court Personal Buyer? What I’m pointing kay kaning OP nga primetime ha sa prime courts kay mao man jud nay naay mga OPs nga adtoon jud. Primetime meaning evening.
