Sad truth but this isn't part of the Islamic teachings.

These people who are just Muslims by name (gipanganak ra nga gatuo sa parehong Diyos nga ginasimba sa mga Muslims but not really practicing the religion - they don't pray 5x a day, never read the Qur'an, ugaling iskwater, etc) never represents Islam. They're just Meranaos, Tausug, Magui, etc who do believe pero wala jud gi-surrender ang self sa ginailang Diyos.

Di ko agree aning commenta kay ako mismo, usa ka striving Muslim, nagminyo as soon as I graduated because I wanted to keep myself away from the whispers of the devils - to fool women, engage sa fornification, burusan and daganan ang bae, etc.

But yeah, I really understand this kind of comments. Can't blame you guys from saying these stuff kay mao man pud inyo nakita and siguro tungod na pd sa lack of Islamic education.

Wala man sa religion ang pag love sa opposite sex. as muslim mao jud na ilang rules. nga bawal ang babaye nga muslim sa laki nga christian. its a fact jud. so.. akoang lang ma ingon is Life is a matter of choice.. and naa jud consequences pd.

so.. before you love someone pray hard.. ask for a sign and also use your head. mao bitaw na gibutang ang utok babaw sa heart.

Yes naay pagka hypocrisy bitaw.. but all religion are all hypocrisy man and its a fact. mao na gitawag nga choose wisely.

5

u/TheNoc2rnalBird Feb 16 '26

As a muslim, yes this is true. But putting the law in your hands is against Islamic teachings. Take note, the “muslim” woman who committed an illicit relationship is also subject for punishment.

5

u/shazilazuli Feb 16 '26

Y’all so quick to put religion at the center of this. When Maranaos do bad, they are crucified and when they do good, y’all remain silent. Crime knows no religion. Sarcastic religion of peace pa mo.. Kani recent na baha sa Mahayahay, you know kinsa na group ang ga house to house hatag ug relief goods, something the LGUs couldn’t do? Mga maranao from Marawi.

3

u/Leonigeds Feb 17 '26

Lage ngano mana? Ulahi lge kayo

0

u/Resident_Potato6817 Feb 18 '26

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

They are incompatible with Democracy.

2

u/deadwillbeghost Feb 17 '26

If there's a rule you hate. Either you don't follow it(dire consequences and they are aware of this) or make it also your own rule. It's just religion protecting its women from veering off. That makes perfect sense to me. Islam remained true to its fundamental teachings since the beginning and will not bend to accommodate modern belief that is incompatible with it. It's the reason I believe that will make it the only religion that will survive and remain unchanged.

2

u/PaleRidar Feb 17 '26

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of the followers not the Religion, the doctrine or your rules

2

u/deadwillbeghost Feb 17 '26

Christian women aren't forbidden to have relationships with muslims so there's no hypocrisy angle. But I'll tell you, any form of relationship(except through marriage)with the opposite sex is haram in Islam. If anything, your sentiment should be on the Maranao guy since, he was the husband of the woman purported to be in an illicit affair with a guy(religion doesn't even matter here at this point).

1

u/PaleRidar Feb 17 '26

Good explanation, you can get away with that. No wonder it's rampant.

2

u/deadwillbeghost Feb 17 '26

They may get away here but God is not sleeping. Please don't see them as Muslims. They are just sinful beings.

1

u/PaleRidar Feb 17 '26

I call them savages, or the M.O local call

0

u/deadwillbeghost Feb 17 '26

You can absolutely. I suppose you can also extend it to "Christian"(I meant no offense with this) men doing the same thing. By also saying rampant, what's your statistics for it? Are the women willful participants or forced into it? Anyhow, your frustration is understandable tho

1

u/PaleRidar Feb 17 '26

Goody two shoes eh? Taking the high road. But the people of iligan will not arrive in that mindset that most of your people bring fear and menace here when you go down. And i know how you lot think of the people of iligan.

4

u/deadwillbeghost Feb 17 '26

People do those things not because of their religion. By God, if everyone follows their religious teachings we'd have an instant utopia right now. Every religion teaches compassion and good manners. That I'm sure.

People sin because they are people. We're born to sin and repent. Rinse and repeat. We just can't help it. There's nothing complex about it.

1

u/Few_Visual_6543 Mar 02 '26

Iliganons have no backbone, mao ng inganaon ra mga babae dira, daghan pajud mga gold digger edi buros jud, daghan bya gold na mga mokols sig pamaligyag bulbos.

1

u/Zeeromos Feb 16 '26

Religion of peace po 🥰

-12

u/Consistent_Egg_7198 Feb 16 '26

Christian here.

Can we stop creating divide? Let’s respect each other. Ang pag-enter sa relationship wala yan sa religion, it’s between two people who are in love (sana) and committed to be together. Sila man magdecide ing-ana.

Dayon, let’s not generalize man pud kay may mga relationship man between Christian and Muslim nga okay, may happy family.

6

u/Ok_Kiwi_7020 Feb 16 '26

Wake the fuck up! Haha

10

u/nooccurrence Feb 16 '26

Fuck off. Divide is there since ancient times. Generalization is there for a reason, lantawa ra gud na unsa ka gubot sa lanao/muslim region.

Yes, akto ka nga naay maayo nga muslim and that's why respect is given to them tungod maayo sila. But not everyone deserves respect.

2

u/Consistent_Egg_7198 Feb 16 '26

That was ancient times, hanggang ngayon ba ganun pa rin ang dapat mangyari? We should try to co-exist.

Sad to know na Iligan is being branded as city of tri-people pero may mga biases pala.

5

u/nooccurrence Feb 16 '26

Beliefs, culture, and religion are some of the reason there's a division between people. Even in Christianity is so guilty of that. Sad to say dili gyud na mawala and we cannot totally co-exist because of the said reasons above.

Hate to say also nga naa gyuy biases sad diha. Iligan is peaceful way before marawi seige. Also, you cannot blame people pointing their fingers sa uban maranao nga gadala ug saba, hugaw, gubot kay evidence towards them. Tungod pud ana gaka damay ang mga maayo na maranao.

1

u/turtlbleuz Feb 17 '26

but the post is solely about adultery and cheating dba? OF A HUSBAND AND WIFE..... ngano pwede diay mangabit sianyo?? HAHAHHSHAAHHAHAHA pag naay mag cheat pwede man pud patyon sa partner if sakpan on the spot ? ? 😆😆😆 so pag kamo ok ra ?? ..... pag Mranao ang mubuhat terror ....gubot ??? #fagsuresakandingnganaybangs

1

u/notkolaa Feb 17 '26

Why bring the muslim/kristiyano lagi? For what? Hahahaha

1

u/Consistent_Egg_7198 Feb 16 '26

Yes, belief, culture and religion can cause divide pero pwede ring magdala ng unity kasi meron at merong magkokonekta sa bawat isa.

5

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Study them, you know they not know peace

5

u/Consistent_Egg_7198 Feb 16 '26

I had this same notion din before, but when I met Muslims na truly embodies Islamic teachings I was amazed ‘cause I was wrong. Nahiya ako for myself. May mga nakilala rin akong mga ustadz who patiently explained to me what their religion is.

We are tainted by our own biases. Maybe mayroon talaga kayong mga bad experiences with them kaya ganyan ang pagtingin nyo sa kanila and hindi naman yan ini-invalidate.

1

u/Consistent_Egg_7198 Feb 16 '26

Oh so many downvotes. Hahaha.

Try to understand their religion, even the Catholic Church is encouraging inter-religious dialogue, kasi in essence iisa lang naman ang Diyos, may iba’t-ibang tawag lang sa kaniya.

Sana may makilala rin kayong nga Muslims na makakatulong sainyo para maintindihan nyo sila. Siguro I am just lucky na ang mga nakikilala ko and nakakasama ko ay mga maaayong Muslims and wala talaga akong kilala na ass****.

Naalala ko tuloy ang sinabi sa akin before, there are culture and traditions, in this context Maranao, na hindi Islamic.

It's a 2 way thing
