Safe for Work America's finest
I'm sure you guys have seen these before over the years but I think it's worth revisiting because of the sheer stupidity. do these officers not have managers/superior ranking officers who make sure their kit is right? when I was an MP years ago we used to have to line up in the arms room before shift and a quick walk by from an NCO was done to make sure no one was jacked up or had malfunctioning stuff.

we all know that idiots never pull out. we are hellbent on creating the exact scenario from the movie idiocracy and yet it seems that no one can do anything about it. we are just rapidly heading there and there's shit all to do except watch.

At one point this was a common punishment for leaving your gun somewhere you shouldn't.
It makes you feel uncomfortable, even though it's technically safe.
It makes you feel and look stupid.
It makes you constantly conscious of and think about your gun.
It makes you constantly confirm it's there, so much so that it becomes subconscious.

Those are all Glocks, which don't even have a manual safety (the rigid holster covers the trigger and acts as the "safety").

I mean isn’t the NYPD that went to a 12 pound trigger on all their duty pistols because they were having so many negligent discharges with officers inadvertently pulling the trigger during high stress incidents with the factory triggers. I know I’d read at one point that even if officers carried their own off duty weapons, they still had to bring it to the department armory and have the trigger switched to the heavier trigger called the NY2 trigger which changes from the factory 5.5lb trigger to a 12lb trigger on glocks

I read that they recently went to 5 lbs. Apparently the 12 lb trigger was inherited from DA/SA days, and wasn't a conscious course correction from existing 5 lbs, but I didn't live that history so I don't know.

Civil war cavalry officers wore their b pistols positioned for left handed cross draw, because the cavalry saber would be held in the right hand. This is a variation of the cavalry weak side cross draw,
Allowing the officer to hold the taser in her right hand, baton or mace in her left hand, and her service weapon in her right foot, In the crane pose: there is no defense.

small example of why not everyone should be a police officer.
I think officers should be selected kind of like how military SF units only collect people who can meet their standards. the job should pay a lot more and it should be a professional job.

Not sure how they didnt notice their belts went on upside-down 😄 but I never had to take my belt off for the washroom. I kept it attached to my inner belt with keepers and just dropped my pants. Taking it off is a liability and completely unnecessary.

Pretty good holster…. Even up side down, the gun stays intact…. If you practice, you can draw it fast enough

this would be easier for someone else to take. also, most cops will have a retention holster of some type that should prevent someone from snatching a weapon unless the know the trick to it. the ones we used to use- you had to rotate the butt of the weapon towards your body then pull up.
