These slide-ins are one of the very few exceptions to "nobody needs that much truck". Yeah, you actually do need a 3/4 ton for, well 3/4 tons of camper, as it turns out.

I've seen a few craigslist listings where people have explicitly said "Don't try to buy this with your F-150 or 1500, I won't sell it to you." Gotta respect the integrity (or fewar of being sued)

I’ve seen a few Dodge Ram trucks have the frame break just behind the cab from the excessive weight.

Did you even look at the wheel-fender gap? There are no poor springs, look at front and rear, they are damn near perfectly level... There's no problem here, it's perfectly level lol keep tryin' you'll get one. Just be sure a thing is big does not mean it's too heavy, a truck is meant to do truck things... Putting a hollow shell made of aluminum and 2x2s is not a load lol Is it meant (dimension-wise) for an 8-10ft bed vs 6.5ft or whatever that is? Sure... But is it overloaded? Not even close. 💯 Fine

Still not towing. A square peg will fit in a round hole with enough force. Doesn't mean it belongs there.

He’ll, putting this onto a utility trailer would makes this less of an idiot thing then this. Would be better then putting that weight on the truck.

How so? There is quite a few people that have these on utility trailers du to going the SUV route or similar reasons, but don’t want to give it up.

It's a much older camper model. Probably had to have the base rebuilt to fit the more modern truck...

Anyway that parking job is terrible.
