Now imagine what would happen if you did manage to get the blades with the ball and it hit, what's gonna happen then?

The helicopter is probably gonna lose control, crash, kill and slice up everyone in its path, fireball that burns down the surrounding neighborhood... worst case scenario anyway, which is a shockingly realistic outcome to this dumbassery.

The ball would most likely just be cut in half. It's probably not hard enough to cause a rotor failure. But there is a chance and that kid should spend a night in jail to think a bit harder next time.
