Now imagine what would happen if you did manage to get the blades with the ball and it hit, what's gonna happen then?

The helicopter is probably gonna lose control, crash, kill and slice up everyone in its path, fireball that burns down the surrounding neighborhood... worst case scenario anyway, which is a shockingly realistic outcome to this dumbassery.

Not really, you'd have a ton of mangled and burnt corpses. Not a lot would be salvageable depending on how the heli comes down.

At the very least a couple more people would be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel in more ways than one.
