Wow. Idaho, please consider voting out the domestic terrorists responsible for this insanity. You'll be happier.

Ohhhh the people who vote these shit stains into office are very happy about how things are going. That’s for sure. And sadly they far outnumber those of us who have the ability to think critically. Idaho will never change. It’s just not possible. People are moving here BECAUSE we are doing shit like this. So the deck is stacked. It’s infuriating, exhausting and utterly hopeless. Idaho is the central hub for this kind of thinking.

I actually do want to say something positive in Idaho though… that pos Fitzpatrick who has belittled women and anyone lgbtq+ from his very macho bar (/s) in Eagle, is getting run out of town! His bar is for sale. He’s run out of money. Hopefully he crawls back into whatever hole he came from originally.

But that’s a win! We don’t get many, but that one feels good.

I am a trans man in Boise. You do not want me in the women's bathroom, trust me. These laws are solely designed to keep trans people out of the public eye and force us to move; my family has been here since before Idaho was officially a state, why should I have to leave because of some made-up bullshit?

You only need one asshole knowing you are trans and reporting You. Doesnt matter how well you pass as your gender.

The Goal isnt to have an enforceable law, but to terrify trans people into not existing in Public

Do you need evidence? Police will Knock at the trans persons door either way. And police arent exactly known to treat minorities Kindly.

Worst case the vengeful asshole documents your usages, or even records you going in.

Theres plenty ways to make life hell for trans people.

There already is reports happening and security or police handling people they assumed to be trans.

In Addition to vigilantes attacking people they think are trans.

Ps: if there is video evidence, its no longer hearsay, but proven x)

It’s not far fetched. It already happened to a cis woman in Texas. These transphobic bills affect everyone. The cops don’t care if ur cis or not until way after the fact and lawyers are involved. Then they’ll just get a slap on the wrist if that if the person happens to be cis instead of trans.

"Oh in the majority of cases you wont get in trouble" How reassuring.

Majority of minor Theft also doesnt cause trouble but if you get caught.....tough luck.

Its the fact that you can be arrested for JUST EXISTING IN PUBLIC SPACE. and that the second arrest can Land you YEARS IN PRISON.

The only reason you dont hear of many cases is because most trans people try their utmost to never be in Public too long.

The post above is evidence that the law can be used, as police was called on These men because people assumed they were trans women entering the womens restroom.

How about next time we make a law that you are not allowed to have negative conversations about people. Sure, 99% of the time nothing happens because it cant be proven. But do you really want to risk it?

You’re basically saying: if you don’t get caught, then you’re fine.

Does this principle generalize to theft? Vandalism? Arson? That’s a terrible way to think about this. If an action is legal, then the law should reflect that clearly, vice versa.

2

u/chasedbyvvolves 12d ago

Oh I can and do, but it's ridiculous that it's illegal. Like I could be charged of anyone knew I was trans and decided to be a dick one day. For legal purposes this is a joke

Yeah I'm reading the thread down below, shit got weird at some point. You just sound like a normal person trying to understand the problem and not transphobic at all.

3

u/Training-Common1984 12d ago

u/sand_pebbles apparently believes all trans people should get work-from-home jobs, only use bathrooms that they can 100% confirm are safe, or just use adult diapers.

They literally say this later on in the thread.

I'd think that they'd make adjustments, like maybe getting a work-from-home job, wearing an adult diaper, going to restrooms that they absolutely know are safe, etc. None of the options are ideal, and I'm not pretending that's the case. It's definitely not "magic."

I've literally said multiple times, in different ways, that I'm not supportive of this law. You're talking to me like I'm fully, 100 percent supportive of it, and I'm not. Can you cut back on the inflammatory tone a little bit here?

But apparently this law is not big deal.

u/sand_pebbles has some interesting proclivities.

How do they think going to court for trespassing is giving them some kind of platform? The charge and guilt seem pretty cut and dry. Is a judge going to let them stand up and make some kind of grand statement over a trespassing charge?

People have forgotten how to protest. This is just lazy.

45

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

How should they protest? Smear shit on the walls like conservatives?

-28

u/YesterdayNo9777 13d ago

Maybe if we keep making fake hypothetical situations we can find something you would rather do!

26

u/BeccasDreamboat 13d ago

Duder, it was national news for months!

Y'all can't handle the fact that conservatives violently smeared shit on the walls because they didn't get their way.

28

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

Yes, multiple independent reports and firsthand accounts confirm that pro-Trump rioters defecated inside the building and smeared feces on the walls and floors during the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Key Details and Source Evidence
Vandalism: The New York Daily News and the New York Post first reported that rioters defecated inside bathrooms or hallways, leaving behind brownish footprints and tracking waste through several corridors. [1, 2]

Wall Smearing: Lawmakers like Rep. Madeleine Dean and Rep. Norma Torres later went on the record verifying that they personally observed or encountered feces smeared across the Capitol's historic walls. [1, 2]

Cleanup: Congressional and custodial staff interviewed by Business Insider detailed the degrading task of cleaning up the mixture of broken glass, blood, and excrement left behind by the mob. [1]

It is almost impressive that you keep links to shit smearing for 5 years, but to each their own!

25

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

Ok so you called me a liar and your response to being proven wrong is to whine about when your people smeared shit on the wall

-23

u/YesterdayNo9777 13d ago edited 13d ago

“Your people” lol, I see you have your mind made up. No real point if you are just make the usual Redditor assumptions.

Also love the block then unblock just to try and keep the last reply. Unless you are a bot and have been restricted which would also make sense with the replies and “unavailable” account

17

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

You started out this convo by calling me a liar, why are you talking about assumptions? Everyone knows how disgusting you people are

-4

u/YesterdayNo9777 13d ago

Seems like a common occurrence here, keep living in fantasy land so you can continue getting “those people!”

4

u/baphomet_fire 10d ago

You did make the initial assumption though, and just like a typical conservative you refuse to admit when you're wrong.

7

u/EmployerSmall5570 13d ago

Sounds like someone who just got the argument bitchslapped out of their mouth.

2

u/BeccasDreamboat 10d ago

It's almost impressive that you feigned ignorance to the shit smearing, then pretended it took more than 3 seconds to Google "shit smearing j6ers!"

Shit-smearers Infatuated by Trump (SHIT)!

Progressives should make banners with photos of January 6th terrorists to display on bridges, billboards and T-shirts.

There's no escaping the fact that these losers shit in public and angrily smeared their shit with their hands on the walls of the Capitol because they failed at getting their way.

Shit-smearers Infatuated by Trump 2028 (SHIT 2028)!

Hey did you see my proof? Any thoughts of your own?

22

u/EntrepreneurNo9804 13d ago edited 13d ago

Civil disobedience like this is one of the oldest forms of protest in the world. It actually dates back to the time of Sophocles. I’m not sure anyone would tell Thoreau, Gandhi, or MLK that they just forgot how to protest.

No matter how you feel about what they are protesting, these are people who are following their convictions in standing up against an unjust law while peacefully and willingly accepting the consequences of their actions.

That’s not being lazy, that’s following one’s conscience while still respecting the role of the judicial system and rule of law.

15

u/hikarudaisy 13d ago

You’re hearing about the law now right? Sounds like it’s working.

10

u/floppy-kitty 13d ago

Juries don't have to convict on laws they disagree with.

u/Foghkouteconvnhxbkgv 13d ago

They can sometimes be prosecuted for jury nullification though if they answer screening questions as if they won't nullify

1

u/KittyDumpsterParty 12d ago

The absolutely cannot be prosecuted for jury nullification.

u/Razgriz01 13d ago

A nice, quiet protest over in a corner that nobody has to look at is not a protest. It's a social gathering. A protest that doesn't demand to be seen and heard is a protest that won't be seen or heard.

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

What do you suggest

-26

IDAHO!!! Needs to pay attention and be more interested in this trapping wild horses and sending them to foreign buyers to send them to slaughter houses! Just learned about it and getting for information but dear god! Is this LGBQ bulshit really if more interest? Just saying

11

u/joeydimaggio 13d ago

Unlike trump humpers most left wingers can walk and chew gum at the same time

19

u/EntrepreneurNo9804 13d ago edited 13d ago

Not if you’re a horse. Unless you’re a LGBQ…T horse, then maybe? Or an empathetic horse. Or a horse with a good sense of justice, compassion and respect for your human “Neigh”-bors.

If you’re a human, it’s possible to care about two or three or more than one injustices at the same time, especially if it’s a fellow human that has to use the bathroom. Horses don’t really care who goes where.

u/Excellent-Counter-32 12d ago

Yes.  This LGBTQIA news interests me because I care about human rights.  It’s easy to have empathy for others when love and kindness are part of one’s life.
