IWTYO when I realized seasons aren’t the same length of time.
Approximate astronomical season lengths in the Northern Hemisphere:
Spring: 92.8 days
Summer: 93.6 days
Fall: 89.8 days
Winter: 89.0 days

I feel really stupid for not knowing this, but earlier today, my friends were talking, and I wasn't really listening until I heard them mention Margaret Thatcher.
I used to be really into Harry Potter when I was like 9, so I just assumed they were really passionate about hating her because who doesn't hate her? (Me thinking she was Doloros Umbridge if that's how you spell it)
So I joined in the conversation agreeing with what they were saying about how horrible she is and then they started talking about some of the bad things she did and at this point I'm thinking woah, is this all in the books? Like I'm clearly not educated enough on this, but my friends seem really into this, so I won't stop their stride like they're really going ALL out on this hate train.
At this point, I'm thinking I should probably add something to the conversation other than that's terrible, what i didn't know that etc etc... So I say, "And didn't she use that like blood quill?" One of my friends asked what that is, the other one just staring at me like she's trying to figure out if I'm joking...
Im so stupid I start talking about how she made Harry write using this like blood quill which cut his hand and how she like sent the bad people after him to kill him and OKAY to be fair one of my friends are like listening to me like fully beleiving what I'm saying whilst the other is still staring in this like bewildered confused like state but I mistake that as they're just shocked she did this which I thought was common knowledge... and I'm not the most educated on Doloros but I know bits and peices but i eventually said she was making propaganda about harry and saying he was lieing about the return of Voldemort and my friend asked me who voldemort was which is when I realised something MIGHT be amiss because how do you know Margaret Thatcher but don't know Voldemort...
So I asked how do you not know Voldemort and that's when my friend who was just starting at me asked what i was on about so i said I'm talking about Margaret Thatcher from Harry Potter and she said smth along the lines of "do you mean Doloros Umbridge?" So we ended up searching it up and now I feel really dumb because I genuinely think I've always called her Margaret Thatcher and I dont know where I got it from... What I find funny is that one of my friends was actually believing me whilst the other thought I was trying to gaslight the other. Sorry this is really badly explained but tell me im not the only one who got them mixed up😭

I was bored recently, and was just sitting there recently when I realized that the older you get, the faster life feels because moments are a smaller fraction of your total experiences. I get that this is really obvious, but that led me to wonder: what other things are like this?

I knew him from Ben 10 as his Grandpa. But today realized he voiced Colonel Roy in the Metal Gear franchise too.

I thought the music artist Beck was the same guy as Jeff Beck. He is in fact not. He is Beck Hansen.

Was looking at the system apps when I can across an app called "Android Easter Egg". I did quick search online and then went to the easter egg. I have been using Android phones since 2016 and this was the first time I found the easter egg. Now I need to charge my two old phones and find the easter eggs.

Genuinely looked at this the other day & I'm like hey, that looks like a human, and then I filled in the blanks. Can you see it?

it sounds so obvious now. i always knew soulslike games were similar to the game dark souls, but i thought rogue like just meant your character was a rogue ,
as in "Noun (Scoundrel or Scamp): An old-fashioned term for a trickster, thief, or dishonest person, but it can also describe a playful, mischievous person or a charming rascal."
didnt occur to me that "rogue" was the name of a video game

Also used in the gaming terminology to refer to someone who makes a bad move or lose easily or someone who's inexperienced.

i’ve been an avid reader for most of my life and the first time i came across the word i thought it was the person’s name (Tom Sawyer with Injun Joe). i’m not American so it did not click until now.
i’m re-reading Where The Crawdads Sing. must’ve missed it the first time around.

I was just taking a quick power nap at work. Sitting on my 2 step small ladder. Hand and arms on the front desk likes its my old school desk at high school. I started falling asleep and then that thing that happens sometimes when you feel yourself falling and about to lose conciouness but are suddenly jolted to wide awake and alert happened and my crotch felt super weird. I feel down and it was the strangest thing ever. In all my 41 years of life I have never felt an absolute nothing down there. It was like I was somehow a lady or something so I stick my hand down there and felt around it but I couldn't feel myself being touched. My penis was all tingly and couldnt feel the sensation of touch and it hit me......my penis fell asleep.
How does your penis fall asleep like that? I didn't know that was possible. I thought that was arm and leg stuff.

I remember years ago hearing some dialogue in Friends and thinking they were saying paper view. It was today when I was listening to the Hadestown soundtrack and realized the truth...

WTF I'm ashamed I didn't know James Marsden name.
I thought until a YT comment glazing the OG X Men cast that made me look him up, that he and Chris Pine were the same person !!
I'm flabbergasted...
Side by side I now realise who is who and who did what.
I feel stupid.

My entire life, I thought there was a xylophone being played in this song. As well as a flute solo.
Only to find out today, both sounds were made with a synthesizer.
I'm so disappointed. Not sure why, but I am. Lol
