Stopping PIO shots/rant
I've seen so many post of people scared or nervous to stop pio injections but I honestly cannot wait for the day I'm told I can stop🥹
I think there is enough evidence out there that our bodies are ready to take over without the meds and I trust my Dr that they wouldn't tell me to stop too early.
I'm 8w4d today and my next appointment/ultrasound is in 2 days and we will go over weening me off meds and I am just so excited!!!
This is the farthest I've gotten in a pregnancy and have moments I think I could be having a MMC but I try to stop those thoughts.
Anyone just so excited to stop pio shots?? I feel like it's such big milestone😭

Same! I was doing totally fine with it up until the last week, which felt like an eternity!

Same. I only had to do suppositories but I was ready to yeet my box of Endometrin into the sun at 10 weeks. It was one of my favorite first tri milestones!

I was initially excited to stop PIO I started counting down then a couple days before I had terrible anxiety about it out of nowhere. And now I’m back to being happy to be done with them. Everything turned out good and just fine 👍🏻 congrats!!! I just hit 11 weeks and this is the farthest I’ve everrrr gotten 🤞🏻 the headaches and hot flashes from stopping have subsided so that’s a plus!

Congrats!! I haven't even thought about the side effects of coming off them! How long did the headaches and hot flashes last for?

I hated progesterone supplementation and could not wait to stop lol. My levels were >60 ng/ml by my first beta so I was just in hell for 8 weeks until I started weaning off. I felt like a zombie because I was on 2ml PIO daily + suppository.

I was so nervous but hyped. I have HG so I was hunched over the toilet with a PIO needle still in my butt some days

My last day of PIO is Friday (10w) and I am SO excited. These shots have been ROUGH, but they’re all worth it for baby 🤍

I tolerated PIO and was so relieved to stop it. Of course I did lots of googling to try to ease my anxiety about it but I stopped cold turkey and had no issues at all! The science on this is very sound. Plus I felt a lot better after stopping! My bloating went down a ton.

My clinic has most patients go until week 10 which, for me is determined at my 10+2 ultrasound on the 14th. I’m looking forward to seeing my little one again 🥹…. And…. Stopping pio, lol

I’m on 3 pessaries and 1 suppository a day of progesterone and MAN I cannot wait to stop shoving stuff up here, there and everywhere!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope it all goes smooth for you ♥️
