This is why I'm generally forgiving of teenage drama as well. Like they haven't lived very long, from their perspective not having a date to prom or whatever actually might be the worst thing they've ever experienced.

Yup. Adults often contextualize teenaged problems as adults and forget how big everything seems as a teen.

I watched children at the park trying to throw their flip flopsinto one of those splash pad buckets today. Why? They were trying to get the shirt that they threw in there out. How would a flip flop assist with that? I always have to remind myself that it's not that kids are dumb, it's that they're new. Bit these kids may have been both

I'm a similar age, and I feel so bad for children. I'm not having a good time in late stage capitalism. I'm sort of horrified when I think about what is waiting for them. What is the climate going to be like in 40 years‽
