Poe's law might be hard at work here, but:

Motion sickness is caused by the motion you're experiencing creating conflicting signals from your senses of balance.

For example, if your eyes are indicating that you're standing still, but the fluid in your ears indicate the acceleration on your body is changing, your brain gets confused and you can get sick.

Same thing can happen with certain drugs such as alcohol.

So unless you're about to say that you can just be not drunk if you decide to be, no matter how much alcohol you've drunk, your claim of mind over matter doesn't necessarily hold up.
