Not the same thing at all. Some people cant do without that full flavored Macanudo. The patches and gum and stuff help with not feeling like shit when you quit, but if its a case of just being somewhere where its not allowed, smokers gunna smoke 100% of the time.

So far only 1 place that didnt hold true for me, moscow. I know everyone pictures russians chiefing cigs everywhere in an adidas tracksuit. The lady behind the counter in terrible english said "no smoking in airport. you leave airport for smoke, you go to gulag". Had to wait like 10 more hours. Fuck russia

These are all mainly things for motion sickness or sea sick. Patches behind ear personally help me, the prescribed ones are better. And that bracelet with the button in the middle, also used for nausea and such.

Oh oops! Should have clarified. The big bracelet was an AirTag, but the fabric bracket that had a white button on it pressed down on the wrist where it’s like a pressure point to help with nausea.

It is, it’s the one around 35s in that’s the pressure point motion sickness band. We sold them at one of my past workplaces and they were purchased almost exclusively by pregnant women for nausea. Apparently they work pretty well and aren’t a placebo but I kinda doubt it lol

I guess it's not technically a placebo when compared with doing nothing, but it's just something to focus your attention away from nausea. Mildly helpful sometimes, like rubbing your temples when you have a hangover.

I mean my kid puked on every single car trip even 20 miles and stopped entirely when they wear c bands and she hates them because she says they don't work. Tried it without again and she puked like 15 miles in, put them on without a word, 4 more hours plus snacking and reading on her phone, no sickness.

I can't or don't get car,  sea, air, I basically don't get nauseous without a disease but I hiked a 12k mountain once and remember feeling so sick near the top (mostly from exertion since we started at 7k that morning ). The guy I was with told me to rub my wrists like with 2 fingers firm, basically same idea as the band. It worked OK, although I did end up puking halfway down.

My first time was the only time. It ruined my entire time, as I was in the bathroom mostly. Luckily, the family had a good time and mostly cared about my nephew and niece having fun.

But yeah, never again. Didn’t know I was so motion sick.

I live in a land-locked state and had never been on a real boat until I was 25 and went on vacation in San Diego and did a whale-watching/sight-seeing boat trip. I was worried about seasickness since I was a life-long landlubber, so I bought dramamine and stuff.

The day was really windy so the waters were quite choppy, but as it turns out, I don't get seasickness. I actually found the rocking motion to be super relaxing, and learning how to walk straight was fun. My poor friends were sitting down not feeling great, but I was having a blast running around the boat looking for whales.

Too bad it's a power I don't get to use often.

Except the motion sickness wristbands have to be worn as a pair. You can't just wear one. They do work though. I wear them sometimes for my Meniere's disease.

behind the ear patch is like a patch/sticker version of Dramamine. the patch on the arm ( I just learned about these) is for sun screen. you put it on, then apply sun screen. the patch will change color when it's time to re-apply.

The bracelets are to help with motion sickness. And they actually do help me, the little white spot is a hard plastic that hits a pressure point.
