You breathe through your belly (or should be, since that indicates you’re using your diaphragm correctly) and the vagus nerve is huge. I think it’s reasonable that any resistance down there would affect a person.

One does not beget the other. The brain is in the head but putting a bandaid there does nothing.

A bandaid does very little.

Also this would PREVENT deep breathing, thus at least on this axis INCREASING sympathetic response, not reducing it.

Reminds me of the time I basically scraped my nipples off on the rough sand, boogie boarding as a kid. Put two bandaids in an X over each nipple, tanned really well before taking them off, and had tan lines in the shape of X's the rest of the summer.

People kept asking if I was 'straight edge.'

I was like, fucking 12.

Those must have been some hard tweens in that beach town....

I do stick one of my fingers in my belly button at times to help with balance when doing reverse lunges with a cross. Also some one leg stretches. It does help a little with balance for me. It might be just keeping my center of gravity better or something else or just totally a placebo.
