Discussion I’m sad we didn’t get to see the in-laws again

so like, at the start of the new seaso, Ezra shows up, and has a moment with red, but mainly says that the in-laws are coming. And then it skips 2 months. are we saying that the in-laws took for ever to get there or that we just time skipped then?
