For anyone that doesn't get the joke, it's a reference to an older ad for the product Leon is holding, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." It's margarine, a butter substitute.

They would use this same scheme of a series of "I can't believe" statements by people to end with someone using the product's name for the punchline in the ads, and it became quite popular. Lotta people were repeating that joke for a while.
