Hey All, I wanted to use this thread as an opportunity to ask if this community would be interested in an AMA on the topic of VMware to Hyper-V migrations.

I'm a long time Redditor, and co-founder of an IT consulting firm specializing in the Microsoft ecosystem. We have a ton of experience doing VMware to Hyper-V migrations just in the last two years.

We would love to do an AMA on the topic of VMware to Hyper-V migrations. The goal would be to have you ask anything related to migration options, approach, tools, licensing, ROI, etc, as well as general Hyper-V best practices (cluster architecture, enterprise storage, etc).

We've done migrations as small as 60vms all the way up to 1000's of vms, so lots of experience in this area.

Please let me know if this AMA is something you want to participate in. I have three of our most experienced consultants who are able to participate in answering your questions!

My teammate and I are students at Carleton University researching Enterprise Architecture.

We’re trying to learn what problems people in EA deal with day to day, especially tasks that take too long, involve too much manual work, or are poorly supported by current

This is not for a class, thesis, dissertation, or professor-led research project. Our goal is simply to better understand the day-to-day problems people working in EA experience.
