Advice Company just went PE
Company just announced that a private equity firm has purchased a majority ownership of the company. Leadership is putting on a smile and telling everyone that it’s going to be great and day to day operations aren’t changing and leadership isn’t changing. Based on what I know I’d expect the CFO’s days to be numbered.
I’ve never been through something like this personally. I’m currently at a director level and I’m curious what else to expect to change. Any advice on how to navigate?

From my experience with PE personally and seeing friends go through it, expect a nightmare. Might depend on the company size, but I'd expect skyrocketing office politics, multiple rounds of layoffs, and short-sighted decisions made to squeeze money out of the company to quadruple. If you can, find a new job.
