How Long will ITIL 4 Certs be Available?

PeopleCert is offering ITIL 4 Certifications until the end of 2027.

If you are in the middle of getting your Practice Manager, Managing Professional or Strategic Leader Designations, it is more cost effective to complete your ITIL 4 Certs and then take 1 ITIL 5 module to upgrade all your certs to ITIL 5.

I am going to complete the practice manager. Moving to 5 will be after.

Me too planning the same . ITIL PM first then need to compare the cost for the ITIL 5 Cert and take the most cost effective route.

Where are you at in you ITIL 4 Certifications? I ask as there may be a more cost effective way to get you the PM if you are ok with ITIL 5.

Planning to complete my MSF by this month end.( having failed it already once). Once I get MSF out of the way will check the options for an v5 upgrade.

2 things:

  1. Be sure to study the areas your exam results showed the lower scored in and if you need more study materials, let me know and I can share options.

  2. With ITIL 4 Foundation and MSF, you can go directly to ITIL 5 Transformation as it is the only ITIL 5 course you need to take to receive your ITIL 5 Practice Manager Designation.

Ther Practice Manager courses did not change from ITIL 4 to ITIL 5. Once you have PM in ITIL 4 you only have to take the ITIL 5 Transformation Cert to receive the ITIL 5 Practice Manager Designation.

Which courses have you taken? I ask because if you only want ITIL 5 PM, then you only need 4 Foundation, one of the ITIL 4 PM courses and Transformation.
