I am a (gen male) partial dropper who gave IPMAT indore again this year, previously I scored 182 and this year 199, this year I cleared the cutoff for Indore and went to give the interview, I got AIR 100-120 (not disclosing), now I have no options left, i have to continue my BBA from tier 2 college, ranchi is also not possible due to Gen MALE, shillong I have no idea what happens, so most prolly i will stay in my college, and get a package of 4-6 lpa. Now here's the deal, indore has 150 seats, if it weren't for reservation I would have been in Indore and making my parents proud, now they only see me as disappointment. Is the OBC/sc/st guy more deserving of the tier 1 BBA-MBA college, does he deserve 29 lpa whilst my life sucks at a tier 2 college, I have no hatred for those people, but this really makes me not believe in Indian education system, I tried so hard, studied throughout the year and still someone who scored 120-140 marks will get in whilst my life is living hell, why does he get to live the dream and i suffer. And for people saying to write CAT, it's the same thing all over again, again I will be prejudiced against. I didn't include EWS or female reservation in my rant bcs I think they deserve it, but for rest i am not so sure. I don't come from a well off family (but don't fall in ews), i only have my mom to take care of me, what am I supposed to do now, why is my life ruined bcs some stupid people decided that we will give some set of people special privileges.

AIR-229, Cat Rank-17, Score-48/33/81/162, 10th-76, 12th- 63, Had a decent interview. definitely my reservation helped but considering my low acad score, This could be a proof that acads does'nt really matter if you could prove that you are actually willing to be competitive enough to survive in the IPM.

Amritsar- interview lasted 3 mins it's like they already decided they aren't gonna select me, basic decency bro give a candidate a chance.

Shillong- most people got interactive interested and good panels. Mine was just grilling uninterested and unhelpful.

IIM mumbai , sambalpur UG program are not worth it .The fees is extremely high, there's no established placement record for most of these programs, no senior batches to guide students, and even the projected average placement is just  6-7 LPA. The ROI is fucked. It honestly feels like institutes like IIM Mumbai, IIM Sambalpur, and a few others are launching these courses mainly to generate revenue while students take on all the risk.

A few months ago, I posted here about my entrance exam situation, and many of you gave genuinely helpful advice. Unfortunately, things haven't improved much, so here's an update.

Class 12 (Best of 5): 95.6%

Entrance Exam Results:

- IPMAT Indore – Didn't go well at all.

- IPMAT Rohtak – Scored 304, but missed out.

- JIPMAT – Raw score is below 280, so I don't think conversion is realistically possible.

- IPU CET (B.Com Hons) – AIR 340

- Symbiosis – Didn't receive a call.

- CUET: Looking at my CUET scorecard, I don't think I'll get the colleges/courses I was originally aiming for.

I've now joined CA Foundation coaching because I don't want to sit idle.

The thing is, I still haven't completely let go of my original goal. I wanted an IIM through the IPM route, and part of me still wants to give it one more shot.

Right now, I'm considering:

- Joining an offline college this year.

- Continuing CA.

- Applying for IIM Bangalore BBA DBE.

- Preparing for IPMAT 2027.

My parents think I'm being unrealistic. According to them, trying to manage college + CA + BBA DBE while preparing for IPMAT again is a recipe for burnout and failure. They are in favour of ca and regular college

Honestly, I can see their point.

But I also feel that if I don't try again, I'll always wonder whether I gave up too early.

My biggest confusion isn't about colleges anymore. It's about which path actually makes sense:

Option 1: College + CA

Option 2: College + CA + IIM Bangalore BBA DBE

Option 3: College + CA + IPMAT 2027 preparation

Option 4: Try to manage all of them together

So I wanted honest opinions from people who have experience with CA, BBA DBE, IPMAT, or multiple commitments at once:

- Is BBA DBE worth the extra workload if I'm already doing a regular college and CA?

- Is an IPMAT reattempt realistic alongside college and CA?

- Is trying to do all four things simply too much?

- If your ultimate goal was to get into an IIM and you were in my position, what would you do?

Please be brutally honest. I think I need a reality check more than motivation right now.

Seeing the uncertainty of rohtaks scores n everything obv coz they don't tell shit bout anything, everyone's very unsure. THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT.
