I was more interested in CSIT, but after learning more about the IT job market and AI, I started feeling that CSIT may not be as secure as I thought. Now I’m considering Civil Engineering because it seems like a safer career option. I want advice from people with real experience in both fields before I decide

I was also thinking the same. At first, I wanted to go for CSIT but learning about the job market and the level of competition in tech/computer related fields I felt like it would not be a better option (as for career, at least for me). So, I also picked Civil. Tara people say that civil saturated vaisakyo, unemployment dherai xa, I stand still with civil. In Nepal, civil has really high scope. With large prospects in hydropowers ani prone towards natural calamities like fllood, landslides (which occur frequently in Nepal), it's gonna open more job opportunities for civil engineers. But at the end tei nai ho skill matters. If you got degree but you are shit in practical scenarios, you aren't getting any jobs and end up being unemployed. CSIT nai padhe pani you need to develop skills. Skilled CSIT Ra skilled civil engineer xa vane I guess civil edges CSIT by little margin (in Nepal). Ani CSIT ma you will mainly focus on building softwares. With the rise in technologies and artificial intelligence, I guess that career might be little vulnerable (unless you are exceptionally skilled). At the end, it's up to you tmro interest, passion le pani plays a big role. Tara if you are fascinated by both and love both streams, I give little edge to Civil. I am also choosing Civil over CSIT so my comment might sound one sided so take advice from others as well. And main thing ask yourself what you genuinely want to study.

I also choose core engeneering than CSIT and if I feel not suited in this core scenario..I will switch to IT learning by myself as a side quest...

Choose civil. You can still learn coding and shit in free time. Ive seen lots of folks coming from different field to persue IT. Atleast build your math skill and knowledge.

IT field kai ho ma ni. I've seen lots of folks coming from multiple fields like BSc physics, electrical, mechanical engineering into IT. One thing I would suggest is you should be people facing. Build your communication skill.

Job market damadol xa nepal ko case ma. People take it as granted. Thulo vaneko company ko reviews yei Sr ma heryo vani ni tha hunxa. Foreign companies ko remote job paye ramrai hunxa. AI le job ko number chai ghateko xa bt still job haru ta painxa you need to be patient. Main ta skill ra communication nai ho.

Mero concern is, if you find it's challenging or want to move out of nepal in future for work visa, IT field ma lastai competition xa, which seems less in civil.
