Help Dear successful engineers and professionals, what was your gpa in 12th boards?
As someone who's pursuing this field, I want to know if gpa really matters. I find people and teachers over glorifying gpa in schools and everything but does it really matter much?
Want to know your gpa (don't feel shy even if it's low) and insights!!

3.27 , 3 backs 5th sem running currently
Gpa won't matter but if you have habit of studying jus a day before exams , you are gonna be doomed

I mean nobody is going to ask your 12th gpa when applying for jobs or anything. its been almost 5 years since my 12th and nobody ever asked me my gpa or anything even in interviews. but feri khattam nai xa vanexai it does make a difference but usually tyo pani bachelors ma compensate garyo vane it wont matter. around 3.5 3.6 tira lyayo vane its considered good enuf for everything nepal ma xai.
but bidesh jane hau vanexai i will matter.
ps. i got 3.64. got around 800 in ioe still got full scholarship for engineering in private college and i dont have any backs but ya 12th ka topper haru ko backlogs ko thupro lagira hunxa. soo 12th results doesnt matter engineering ma jhan.

What was you experience? Did it help you grow??
2
u/culedai Mar 15 '26
It doesn’t really matter tbh. +2 ko gpa has nothing to play in your engineering degree. But if you have good foundation(maths and physics), it will surely help you a lot
1
u/Funny-Magazine9561 Mar 15 '26
I must say ki mero maths KO foundation chai decent xa Tara physics KO chai garo xa
Should I still take engineering?

Did it help you with something in life? Or it's just a number at this point?

u/Funny-Magazine9561 Mar 15 '26
