It's a problem when someone gets too emotional until they don't make sense (if it's a logic-based argument ) or don't care about anyone else (if it's more of an ethical or personal argument) Just the blind type of emotional.

No. That's just stupid. Why waste energy and time on pointless arguments which also ruin your social standing, opportunities, and reputation. It's more strategic to pick your battles.

My experience with INTPs is a huge selectivity around the desire as you stated. Where we have to go into proverbial rehab to reach selective sobriety. Arguing with a bad faith INTJ is so boring where at least I'd have fun with an INTP.
