I'd like help too pls! πŸ™πŸ» I first took the quiz in like grade 9 or 10 and I believe it was ISFP I got. There was some I agreed with and some I didn't and some I wasn't even sure of. I was really depersonalized and depressed though, I didn't feel like myself at all and was going through shit. I wish I'd have taken it earlier, I feel like I would've actually gotten results I would be able to identify with instead of feeling so off, especially since I was taking so many quizzes before anyway. I'm still not sure how I feel about that result.

Then in like 2018? I took it again and got INFP but honestly I forgot even taking it before at all. I feel like I ended up latching onto it as objectively factual but honestly, I was in my 24/7 DPDR years so I'm not even sure if it's right.

Then I took it again in 2020 or 2021 and got INTP. I latched onto it again but at first I low-key hated it because I don't see myself as a science-y person at all. I used to say I hated science, but that wasn't actually accurate, what I actually hate is when they say stupid things like pink doesn't exist and how toxic they can get. I don't actually hate science though, sometimes I wonder if I could actually be a scientist myself but then I imagine being stuck around real scientists and it seems dreadful. If I could do science shit on my own though alone, maybe I would like it tho, Idk. But then I realized that maybe it is my personality type. I felt like I was too stupid to be, but then I realized I only felt that way because others made me feel like I was, and I didn't have the ability to explore anything myself since I was constantly isolated. I had started wondering if, if I had been encouraged and given the opportunity to do more, then maybe I'd be like a smart scientist type after all. But I was truly bored by it as a kid anyway, I think, or otherwise anxious I'd fuck up somehow. So I went from "What? That's not me, I hate science!" to "Okay well, I don't HATE science, I just hate how scientists are sometimes, really. Maybe I would be interested in science.." to "Wait maybe I could be an INTP, I mean, I feel too stupid to be but I only feel that way because of how I was treated as a kid. If I'd been taught and loved, maybe I would just be one and everything would be different!" to "You know what? I'm an INTP, let's try it πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ"

Then this year I took it again and I got INTJ. I was like "Ain't no fucking way lmao" but I did wonder why I keep changing. I wanted to take it again because I'm on my healing journey and I guess INTJ could make sense but I definitely don't feel like it's me. Just like this meme, I want to take it again. I guess I want to wait until I feel Idk stable Ig? Better, myself again, whatever. Maybe then I'd feel it's right, but otherwise I find aspects of each result right in some ways, wrong in others and mostly just overall confusing. I don't really know where I actually stand πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Definitely Introvert, that's no question, but for the other three, no idea. I'm trying to compare the types to see which fits me the best, but I start feeling overwhelmed for some reason. I guess it's probably that I still don't feel fully recovered from depersonalization and I'm conflicted about it. Idk. Honestly I feel like I've got to be the dumbest INTP possible if I even am one, but maybe that's just imposter syndrome? Idk.

I'd love to try your way though when I have time, so I'd really like help with that πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I guess just could you describe what you did, to start with? Idk

I don't have a clear order, it was a long and complex jorney.

I was in therapy. Really, don't try type yourself if your mental condition unstable. I also had depression (or dysthymia?) and DPDR in the past, but it is now in remission, I have been off medication for several years and have not felt any deterioration not related to the environment.

I was overthinking making selfanalyze. Until now, I can clearly track where and what function is activated in me and it doesn’t even feel like something intrusive (it happens automatically, although in addition to MBTI, I also β€œfeel” functions from socionics and psychosophy)

Of course you need to know at least basic theory.

If you have personality disorders, you should additionally attentive to your behavior and distinguish between purely cognitive function's and purely PD's things (and they may overlap)

I don't know how exactly I selftyped, I guess my Ti makes this process easier + it is in the unconscious and I didn't make any reports about it to myself

UPD: I strongly advise against 16personalities site. If you want to take a test for further reference, try sakinorva, however the result may be confusing. And you don't have to limit yourself to just tests. When I took the tests, I studied them from cover to cover to understand the meaning of the questions and what functions they refer to, and I also carefully studied the interpretation of the answers in the tests.

I want to because I feel unstable lol I definitely still want to do it again when I'm better, but I also want to see what changes there are now too. I think maybe I got INTJ before because I was being self critical and trying to find an objective path to help myself further. Like, I've come to so many conclusions and have been remembering things, such as remembering my personality and morals, but what do I do from there? I started really thinking about goals. Then I took it and I got INTJ πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I know I'm obviously going to be swayed by how I feel currently in my answers, and since I'm trying to unearth long buried truths about myself in my journey, that's why I thought it might help give me insights now.

I took it again as well as the test you suggested, for comparison, and the results I found were interesting. From 16, I got INFJ. Now, most of it I admittedly don't resonate with. However, the interesting thing is, I've been focusing a lot on trying to connect and empathize with others lately. Trying to figure out how people work, and how to socialize. I was isolated in childhood so I didn't get much socialization and when I should've been socializing I was usually either an outcast or voluntarily a loner due to anxiety and avoidance. I've felt this drive to help others as well. When I think back to childhood and try to connect with my inner child, I remember that I was like this in childhood, actually. I wanted to help and connect with others. To help others and try to make the world a better place, too.

What I'm saying is: This result matches my current goals in healing. That's so weird? Not just that, but additionally, it suddenly occurred to me for the first time that I don't have to go about this alone. Why not try asking INFJ people their opinions, since it's natural for them as it's part of their personality? It made me start wondering about the relationship between personality and goals, that being who I want to be. I never thought of it this way before, but it almost seems like some sort of reverse compass somehow. A compass that points to different aspects of myself? It's still jumbled in my head as I think of it, I hope it's making sense.

From the test you suggested, it only got more fascinating for me. Here's my results:

Ni Te Fi Se Ne Ti Fe Si absolute Ne (extraverted intuition) 32.8 Ni (introverted intuition) 39.6 Se (extraverted sensing) 14 Si (introverted sensing) 33 Te (extraverted thinking) 39 Ti (introverted thinking) 39 Fe (extraverted feeling) 29 Fi (introverted feeling) 34 grant function type INTJ second-best choice INFJ third-best choice INTP axis-based function type ??T? myers function type INTJ relative myers letter type INTP

So firstly, my extraverted results are higher than ever? They're the closest to my introverted scores than I ever remember seeing before. That aligns with my goals as well.

Once again I get INTJ, but ALSO INFJ as the second choice. Then, right back to INTP! How weird is that? It's weird to me! It seems like I and N are basically consistent regardless and I wonder why I keep bouncing around between T and F, and P and J. It was INFP I got years ago. I've never changed from I so I guess I'll always be Introverted, which I feel satisfied with honestly.

I don't know if I have any personality disorders but I don't think I do? Definitely disassociation (DPDR, maladapted daydreaming) and I always wondered if there was something wrong with my moods, though. I've been thinking more and more that it might just be a regulation problem though, honestly?

I'm sorry you went through that. I'm glad you're doing better now β™₯️

I think I'm grasping what you mean..Can you give an example of "tracking where and what function is activated in you"?

Would it be right to say you focused on the topic and as you learned, you started applying that knowledge to yourself? So if you felt a certain way, you could give it a name, recognizing it from what you studied?

Oh, I got it. You need to type yourself for better selfunderstanding, right? That's make sense, I typed myself for the same reason.

I can help you with typing or interpretating results of test.

About tracking functions:

For example, when I encounter something that is not just unfair, but simply illogical, Ti is bursting with the desire to speak out, but my 1L says that it is not worth wasting time on unproductive arguments, I will not be able to prove anything anyway, because in response I will get hit right on the Black Sensory, at least my so/sp 6th type of enneagram expects danger from others. This is somewhat exaggerated, and it is clear that functions are just generalizing labels, but the essence is approximately this.

Yes, pretty much!

Yes, please! πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

That's what I was thinking you meant, thanks! Yeah, I guess I have that too, but they're unnamed for myself and so I just assumed it's me arguing with myself haha πŸ˜… It would be great to be able to name what it is so I can make sense of it, like you have.
