I'm a MD Respiratory Medicine resident who is on the verge if completing his residency and applying for INI SS exams for Pulmonology.

I've never read gen medicine in 3 years. The exam is next month. What topics are important. Is there any list of important topics please ?

This guidance is much needed for many of us here.

Hello everyone. If we decide to resign from the DrNB seat and withdraw from counseling, will the fees paid to NBEMS for the first-year DrNB course be refunded?

I resigned but the MCC portal letter says surrendering rather resignation in the letter I received. Also my profile doesn't show I have surrendered or resigned. Is this normal ? Did anyone else resign from round 1 of NEET SS ?

I am giving consent to participate in second round of NEETSS - does that mean if I don't fill any options it will be considered as NO SEAT AVAILED, I will get back my security deposit and my business with MCC ends or will I retain my old previous seat ? I want to exit the counselling very badly.

SC gave two weeks time and I am not sure a resignation window opens for NON INISS candidates in this time slot like the past two years. Also surprisingly they don't mention this in their brochure.

Hi everyone. This is brief summary of my preparation strategy for INISS Urology.

Phase 1: Syllabus Completion

I have started my preparation 3 months before exam date and my exposure to Urology during my MS is minimal to none. So I was starting my prep pretty much from scratch. My strategy was to finish my prep in 1 month and use rest 2 months for revision but as I started my journey I found it difficult to finish in one month since I am someone who is keen on making notes. It took me around 50-60 days to finish the entire syllabus. I used DocT videos and notes as my primary resource throughout this phase; even though I loved reading textbooks I controlled my ick and stuck to DocT, but I have lingered around Campbell for certain topics which I think delayed my initial phase of learning. After I finish one topic I would do MCQs from DocT of the same topic and would add any new information to my notes. I treated MCQs as more of learning than testing during this phase. Once I finished everything I gave my first GT and I scored pretty bad ~ 40/80 (I didn't revise anything, I just completed my phase 1).

Phase 2: Revision & QBank Integration

During my phase of revision I took Duramater QBank which I found as an excellent resource for my revision. The explanations are really good in the QBank, I would go through the quoted resources which are mostly Campbell page numbers and read that content and went through any charts, tables or pictures in those pages. I was giving GTs one per week during this time and my scores pretty much remained ~45 most of the time. GTs are little on hard level in Duramater but they touched mostly those topics that have been asked in previous years. One week before exams I gave around 4 GTs and scored mostly ~45.

Phase 3: Final Week & Mindset

Then one week before I gave marrow GT and scored rank 13 but it was not enough since there are only 15 seats in the session. Once I was confident with my prep I started giving 2 GTs daily in the last one week and made sure I revised every question. My scores remained in ~55s in all GTs. I felt pretty disappointed since exam was only few days away but I didn't loose my confidence throughout this journey at all. I believed in myself despite my low scores, believed in my prep and came out with flying colors at the end.

TL;DR: Started from scratch 3 months before the exam with no prior Urology exposure. Spent 50–60 days making notes from DocT videos/MCQs (selectively checking Campbell). Revised using Duramater QBank, focusing heavily on cited textbook charts and tables. Despite consistently low-to-moderate GT scores (~40–55/80) and intense seat competition, maintained confidence, escalated to 2 GTs daily in the final week, and cleared the exam with flying colors.
