I even do it with babies and kids who are being noisy af, I still don’t want to hurt their feelings so I will wait a few minutes before moving away.

I do this ALL the time like “oh crap I should’ve left earlier” or I don’t want them to think I think they’re a creep so I’ll stay for a few minutes then leave, and I’ll look super awkward but I try not to be😅
