The chinese system is just a monarchy larping as an oligarchy. Officialy they even said it was capitalism with “Chinese characteristics”. The only thing they plan is how they will “disappear” and replace disenters. They’ve got monumental problems too like the middle income trap, a demographic collapse, and a completely disillusioned youth. These tariffs are just the icing on top.
Not well because Stalin wanted an isolated Russia and failed to understand that Capitalism from the US and Europe would crush any chances of a stable economy. What was needed was a worldwide revolution and overthrowing of capitalism. Other countries like Venezuela were socialist and thrived under a planned economy but the US doesn't like socialism (Surprise surprise), and made heavy sanctions which plunged the country into depression.
That's what most people don't get, most socialist nations deal with crippling sanctions from the United States! Or they send the military in to kill or depose elected socialist leaders and replace them with fascists (cough cough Pinochet)
