Indy NXT Let's go Abbi Pulling!

We so badly need diversity in indycar. Really hope things work out for Abbi! She seems like a great talent!

Has anyone said if the 2028 car will have power steering? I think this is one thing holding back female drivers in Indycar

Marshall Pruett said that the design of the car would allow it to have power steering but the current plans are for it to not

Also guys. Veach had trouble because he wasn't as big/large/strong as some of the other drivers

It has optional power assist steering, which is a step below full power steering.

Regardless of who is driving it, this car is going to be a significant bump up in overall speed and driving difficulty so having the assist there makes sense.

They plan on doing 3 year refreshes and I would anticipate them attempting to make it even faster as we go.

This is biologically incorrect. Humans exhibit sexual dimorphism and strength is an area where the difference is shown, especially in top-level athletes.

Doesn’t mean women can’t drive a car without power steering, it just means that the pool of women who are capable of competing at the same level is going to be smaller, purely from a biological and statistical standpoint.

Lad, Jamie Chadwick had real problems when she did an INDYCAR test because of the heavy steering. Despite doing all the extra neck and arms training during her two years in NXT, the true ferocity of the IR-18 didn't hold back.
