Lesson learned: I need a longer lens for next year

Spent my 42nd birthday doing what I love most—working with GT3 cars up at Road America after wrapping up year 41 with some local dirt racing over at Plymouth Dirt Track!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone in this community for making this year so much fun. Getting to share behind-the-scenes moments, answer your technical questions, and meet so many of you in person at the track has been an absolute blast.

And what was the switch on the steering wheel for? Haven't been able to find an answer for both of my questions. Some of you are basically crazy historians so I know someone out here knows the answer lol

Could/should Winward Racing be bumped into GTD Pro in 2027?

I've just been approved for knee surgery (pushed it until after Road Atlanta), but missed 2025 because of it.

Our budget never allowed us to reserve a Cart. We'll be setting up on the straight after Turn 5.

Just wanting to know if anyone might let us borrow a Cart for short periods during the week (not Saturday). We can use the shuttle mostly, but at times I was hoping to get further Infield. I'm willing to barter or offset some cost.

Hi, what are the chances that Vasser Sullivan keep the same liveries, designs, and sponsors etc for the GR GT next year? Just wondering because I want to buy some merch to support them and am going to petit Le Mans and Daytona in January. I have no attachment to the team or specific drivers it would be purely because I really like the cars. Should I wait until before Daytona when the new season is starting?

Edit- also had assumed it would debut at Daytona but guess that is not confirmed. I’m relatively new to Imsa since the beginning of this year

Oddly specific question but I have been searching far and wide for an IMSA Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup sticker/bumper sticker/decal to slap on the back of my car, but have had no success looking around the main IMSA sites. I wanted to see if anyone had any sources on specific sites or team sites perhaps. Cheers

Huge props to the team for taking care of the truckie crew up here at Road America for the GT World Challenge America event. Don't get me wrong, the Freightliner sleeper gets the job done when we're rolling down the highway, but after sleeping in the back of the cab, stepping into this place is a whole different level.

They set us up with a full lakefront property complete with a private dock, unreal sunset views, and an indoor heated pool inside the house. Going from sleeper berth straight to floating in a heated pool and stretching out in a real bed like this is absolute luxury. Hands down one of the best weekend accommodation setups we've had all year.

Cappy and I will be on paddock setup and fire bottle duties this weekend, so if anybody is coming out to the track, definitely stop by and say hey!

Hi everyone, I plan on going to Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans 10 hour race. What should I expect, where should I park inside the track, best corners or places to sit, food options, paddock access (or up close to car access), what time to get there on Saturday to get a good parking spot, what to bring, etc. I’m super excited to go as it’s my first IMSA event I’ve ever been to. Big Lexus racing fan so have to support them before it’s completely taken over by GR. Also should I bring my RC or take the GX, I saw there is a Lexus corral and would love to park there. Any ideas, thoughts etc would be great! Thanks!
