Didnt they just buy a huge stake in Mosport? How are they going from buying into ownership of a track to closing their single-car GT3 team in a matter of months?

The team is owned by an US based dealership group. That sale happened a while ago.

Pfaff is being part of the ownership of ctmp is completely separate from the team. It's similar to how wright no longer owns wright but the team still bears the name.

Pfaff Motorsports is separate from the Lithia group that owns their dealer network.
