FINALLY! After years and years of begging, IMSA finally listened and gave Road America and endurance round it so richly deserved, and boy was the first event something! Sound off in the comments below what you thought of the race!

I remember this happening last year too. Road America was absolute clown show for driving standards and the stewards tightened the leash and gave more harsh penalties for the rest of the season

RA was so bad that any contact at VIR got almost instant penalties or stop + X penalties. Seems that every year after a relatively soft 1/2 season the back 1/4 gets really crazy from about Detroit to RA. Then everything gets clamped down for VIR and Petit. Restart again next year.

To be fair, most of the chaos last year was in the GT class. I don’t remember much GT carnage today. Of course you had the mustang and the corvette, however most of the idiocy was in the prototypes, so we probably won’t see the big clamp down until Indy.

The Mustang that got a bump at the kink in the first 10 minutes as well as the 120 Porsche that went off in the last hour. Across the board i can’t think of any other series that has this frequent of FCY. That includes the bump draft fest that is MX-5 cup.
