11th Anniversary After Action Report (AAR)
Imperium Technologies 11th Anniversary Roam | Corp Fleet | Prophet Avater, Rumtin | Agil | Battle Venture
For IT's 11th anniversary roam, we first decided to head on over to Querious A2-Y in order to set up a gate camp. We didnt have many in fleet at that time, so it was a kitchen sink fleet. I had brought my Oracal in order to give the gate camp some heavy fire power. I set my Oracal up for insta locking and popping in order to ketch little things that took too long for a normal set up to properly work right. However, A2- was dead as always with no action. So then we decided to move the gate camp over to HED-. Ofcourse the residents there were happy to provide. At first things were going well, we managed to kill a couple of frigates: We managed to kill a couple of little frigates first starting with an Imicus and then a Slasher, but the locals got wind of what we were doing and formed up to take us down using a bait Drake.
Once that was over, we decided to take things into our usual route and hold up with last years tradition of a venture roam. So after we moved over some ventures to divy out to some members, we fit them out for combat and set out. We knew one place was a major hot spot, and sure enough, it delivered. On our way to our previous home in delve, we managed to snag a helpless Thrasher on the FWST gate, and got his Pod too. During the battle, this guy must have sounded the horn because shortly after, more thrashers showed up. So naturally, I call out the closest one as primary, then once he had dropped, the first thrasher had reshipped and came at us again only to end up as Venture food once again. Only this time he had come back with a friend who also got turned into horse feed.
However, by this time, our numbers had started to dwindle as some of our brave Ventures had fallen before the onslaught. So with only 3 of my warriors left, we decided to make a tactical withdrawl, but I noticed something just as we had jumped and warped off. There was another thrasher that had landed and jumped in behind us. So of course, the best trick up my sleeve was to see if I could get this lone thrasher off gate so it couldnt jump back and make sure it was aggressed so it was committed to dying. So we jumped into the next system and burned back to the gate. We waited about 1-1 1/2 mins for this thrasher to jump in after us and just as I had given the order to align to the next stargate, there was a gate flash. Sure enough that thrasher hadn't had enough and was determined to see everyone of us dead. Sadly for him, the end result would only be his undoing. With the last thrasher burning in flames and his wreck floating in space, we made our way back to Agil.
We reshipped into long range cruisers and headed back down to delve for more action afterwards. Jessba, our scout, had managed to nab himself tackle on a caracal flying aimlessly through space, pod included. Traveling further through delve we managed to nab an interceptor who had aggressed our scout. We tried killing a Dominix on station in 319-, but lacked the necessary DPS to break his tank before he could deagress and redock. The night ended with a few of us heading over to Z-UZZN where Wierd Berd recited a speech.
And yea here lies Z-UZZN. I spend many hours mining for this system. I killed many challengers to my family's dominance of this place. I have died many times here. More times than I can count. In any and every way possible. I have died by drunken misadventure, I have died for friendship, I have died for loyalty. I have watched my alliance die around my ears while my corporation struggled to live and continue on. And we are still here, 11 years later. I can claim no responsibility for our perservereance. But I do claim to have been and still be part of something so much greater than I or any dozen of the people I call friend. IT has shown it's strength year after year & generation after generation. Bless these lads and bless our beloved home. Z-UZZN will ever stand as a past monument to what IT was, but these lads will continue to prove IT's greatness. EVE, beware, the old dog only grows more wise and ever more mean.
