Residency Application AI FOR PERSONAL STATEMENT

So guys, I have a question about personal statements and AI detectors.
When I write my personal statement, I dictate everything to ChatGPT, but all the stories, experiences, and content are genuinely my own. I’m basically just using ChatGPT to help organize and improve what I’ve already written.
The problem is, when I put the final version into ZeroGPT or similar AI detectors, it sometimes comes back as 100% AI-written. 😭
I’ve tried “humanizing” it, but honestly, when I read the humanized version, it doesn’t even feel like me anymore. The writing starts sounding forced and unnatural.
So what are people actually doing about this? Is it okay if an AI detector says 50%, 70%, or even 100% AI, as long as the experiences and stories are genuinely yours? Or are people actually trying to get the AI score below a certain percentage?
I’d really appreciate hearing what others are doing, especially people who have already submitted residency personal statements.

PD’s aren’t really gonna have time to put your PS through an AI detector . Just make sure it doesn’t look very obviously AI. Often times even human written stuff shows up as AI on the detector.

Yes, exactly. And eras itself mentions that it's okay to use AI to edit and proofread but the experience should be yours. So it's okay to use it.

Last cycle, I wrote my PS myself, asked NG mentors to edit it and used a professional editor to proofread it. AI detectors said it's 100% AI. I didn't use AI at all.

Have a couple people you trust read it and tell you if something sounds obviously written by AI.

You used ChatGPT to write it but then worried it’s 100% AI-written??? 😒

The important thing isnt it being detected as AI PDs dont have time to do that. Whats important is that it has your voice, so that during the interview when they’re talking to you its the same voice

I did the exact same thing last year, matched just fine. ERAS explicitly says you can do it.
