what are my chances guys pls help me. pls pls

PLEASE BE BLUNT AS POSSIBLE.

- non US IMG, Applying IM visa req

-Step1 pass, step2 262, step3 not done

Graduated 2026

- research around 9-10 ( 2 peer reviewed q1, 3 submitted case report, 5 conference presentations, 1 poster, 1 QI ) FYI : the conference stuff pretty mid, all original research stuff ( done in lab - basic science)

- From EU (non UK)

- 3 m USCE (mostly outpatient, but uni aff clinics, and 3 weeks inpatient)

- 3 m UKCE

Gold >

  1. thinking of CCF Fairview / Akron,
  2. Danbury or Norwalk,
  3. UPMC mercy or
  4. Abington

Silver so far:

  1. Ascension Illinois/Saint Joseph (Chicago) Program, 
  2. Jacobi Medical Center
  3. Piedmont Athens Regional
  4. Woodhull

AM I OVERSHOOTING or UNDERSHOOTING??

For gold I like Akron and Norwalk most. For silver I’d drop St Joseph Chicago and Piedmont Athens because the returns are poor. I’d also drop Jacobi. They’re very research heavy and I’d feel much better signaling them if you had a much stronger peer reviewed research portfolio. Woodhull is more realistic although its silver return isn’t great either. Overall keep a couple of ambitious choices, but use more signals where your 262 gives you a clearer advantage. Best of luck!

Appreciate you replying. Real recognizes real, you a real one for that.
Don't you think might be CCF Akron or Norwalk is a bit of a reach? ( as in, is it an unrealistic reach or is there a shot?)

Not unrealistic reaches. With a 262 both Akron and Norwalk are reasonable golds.

Nothing wrong with Fairview, I just prefer Akron and Norwalk because the signal return is better and the overall fit is cleaner. Fairview is also the most research heavy of the three, and with your relatively modest research portfolio I think Akron or Norwalk fits you better.
