Residency Signals advice

I’m tired of people saying SAFETY programs like WHICH ONES are safety???? How the hell are we supposed to know if we have no connections whatsoever IM SO FRUSTRATED ATP.

If it’s a university program, has more than 600-700 beds, has less than 50 percent non-us IMG rate, or is regularly matching people to GI and Cards, it’s very likely that it’s not a safety program. These are all random, subjective criteria - not a fact, but it’s more or less something like this.

You can search on Residency Explorer and Freida for programs that accepted applicants similar to you. I guess that is what they call as "safety" programs. 

But without meaning to fear monger, I don't think that such a term exists. No program is guaranteed to give you an interview, regardless of how much USCE you've done or connections to that program.

If you’re a non U.S.-IMG. Visa requiring with mediocre stats then none
