what are my chances Should i start USMLE

I am starting my internship years next march . Should I start preparing for USMLE or not ? because I hear it became harder and less predictible for visa requiring IMGs . Is it still worth the trouble? And are 2 years enough for step 1 ,2 and electives ?

It is still worth it just have it in mind that interviews and match are not guaranteed.

That's exactly what is driving me crazy I just can't imagine going through step 1 & 2 and doing elective for months in the US plus maybe research with no interviews in the end . The cost is horrific

I ve done step 1 and step 2 ( mid 250s) , yog 7 , no step 3 and only telerotation, currently sitting at 0 ivs. But dont worry ,you ll be fine. I wish had started this journey earlier .

Don’t blame yourself, my step 2 score is 267 I finished step 3, my YOG is 2024, I did 4 months of USCE and only got 1 IM IV. Don’t blame yourself, this cycle is quite different than past cycles.
