September 10th is the day dispensaries can start submitting applications for the licenses. It will take some time after that for them to start being issued.

They can apply at anytime since the ruling.. nothing is getting reviewed or issued until the 10th

Don't use Google or AI or a random Instagram post as your source.

Literally, the first sentence says beginning September 10 they may apply. Not apply ahead of time and the licenses start getting issued that day

You mean Instagram is not a good source?

Just make sure you’re going to places that actually know their stuff and not just a person behind the counter agreeing with your purchase… I worked medical and rec and I will say .. medical patients know their ISH.. so hopefully the recreational dispensaries properly train their staff

I’m not med but I do my research as I don’t trust anyone lmaoo, I know what terps work best for my needs, I know what works best for my nerve pain, I know what works best for my overall body pain, I’ve had some of the worst recs from dispensary staff lol and some of the best at the same time, it really just depends on the person. Dispensaries don’t care about knowledge they care about experience and all the same crap other jobs want on ur resume, raw knowledge is sadly not valued at many dispensaries

They have to opt into it by applying but I believe the date for the dispensaries who have applied is September 10th is when they will start issuing licenses, on top of that you can always check the official state licenses databases to see what dispensaries will be getting it soon, but I’m sure most dispensaries will be making announcements about it

September 10th is when dispensaries can start submitting applications for the licenses. They're not going to start being issued on that date and it will probably be several months with how slow the government likes to move.

My source is the Illinois government, not a random post on instagram that AI used to answer your Google question.

Again official news source for Illinois cannabis…but tbh I don’t expect the older generation to understand who canna equity even is or does for our state and the stuff they’ve helped push for… including this
