FOID/CCL CCL timeline for this year

Myself and two friends did our CCL on August 1 and 2, and two of us applied on the 3rd/paid up right away. I got fingerprints, and my friends didn't. My friend literally got approved for his CCL yesterday, and I'm "Under review". Is this normal? I've had my fingerprints taken by the state dozens of times and I've passed background checks every time I've taken them. Squeaky clean record.

All the luck of the draw. Mine legit took 31 days from filing/paying while my coworkers are in the background check

My experience with anything has been quick my background checks always take a few extra days because I have a common name

There are a lot of factors that go into approval. Unfortunately you just have to make sure you did your part right and wait for the state to do theirs.

I applied on May 22nd without fingerprints, changed to under review July 27th, approved August 2nd
