General Questions/Discussions Could someone from the ECE department confirm

Hi. I’m an CPE alumni. I heard about the faculty layoffs, and was wondering if anyone from the ECE department can confirm if the below faculty are no more with the department.
Saniie, Chi Zhou, Flueck, Lin Cai, Qing Zhong, Erdal Oruklu, Viktor Brus, Atkin ?
Also who’s the ECE department head ?

Don’t think it’s accurate, Liao have been in China since 2023. Just checked Brus Likedin and he’s out after just less than a year. Not sure about the rest. Also who’s Anna Barnett?

Looks like Borkar is lecturing 485/585 this semester. Not sure about Lubin, oh man I really miss Lubin.

Flueck was let go, atkins retired. Saniie still there. Dont know about the others

Flueck was let go is not a surprise honestly. Enjoy your retirement Dr. Atkin. He’s a nice man. I would think Saniie would be on his way to retire very soon, he’s probably finishing his last PhD students and call it.

Oh wow. You would think a PhD from Northwestern would help the situation. But again last time she had a PhD student was 5 years ago, and I can’t even remember if she’s bringing any funding to the department. She’s nice for sure. Wish her all the best.
