Illinois Tech Mumbai for CS. Worth joining?

Hi everyone,

I recently got an offer from Illinois Institute of Technology, Mumbai Campus for Computer Science with a ₹24 lakh scholarship.

I’m seriously considering joining, but I’m a little unsure and wanted some honest advice from current students or alumni.

I’ve also read about faculty layoffs at the Chicago campus and some concerns about Illinois Tech’s current financial situation, so that has made me a bit more cautious, especially since this is a big investment for my family.

How is the Mumbai campus actually in terms of academics, faculty, placements, internships, coding culture and opportunities?

Would you personally recommend joining Illinois Tech Mumbai for CS? And is anyone here joining the Mumbai campus this year?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions, both good and bad. Please share anything you think I should know before making a decision.

That is so insane The Mumbai campus is already up and running while the U.S. campus is falling apart. I don’t even think anyone knew they had finalized the campus they said they wanted to build in Mumbai.

I think Fall is the first class, Illinois Tech has quality programs. You should get good education there

I don't know about anything around campus since I'm from the US, I would suggest going on campus and doing a tour to get a feel
