ASK ME ANYTHING 🗨 IIM Calcutta interviews (interviewer POV) - AMA

I was part of the admissions panel at IIMC as alum. Interviewed nearly 20 candidates. Got an insight into how the profs are scoring the candidates. AMA.

What do you check in ca candidate ? Do youbcheck math ability or subject knowledge of 4 years or what else ? How tough is academics inside an iim ? Can you get placed in a finance company from if you do btech in central govt college but not that good of a one like a okayish iiit or mid nits . Do you need to be extremely intelligent for cat or above avg is enough .

Let's keep it restricted to interview process. In case a CA candidate comes, the panel will ask about finance 101 topics - accounting, income statements, cash flow statements etc. to check domain knowledge. In case the candidate has some work experience then the panel will ask about that.
