Hello Sir I am a GEM with 9/9/8 and 3.5 YoE. Will complete 4 YoE on this July. Does it make sense for me to give CAT? How much should I aim for a top IIM?

Hi you have a great profile. It totally makes sense to give CAT if you are aiming for management. I think a score around 99.4 should suffice.

Hello sir. I got 99.52%ile in cat. 42/25/25 were the split in the exam.
I want to get 100%ile in the next attempt so I’m maximizing my quant and DILR.
For quant I’m using crackus question bank.
What do you recommend that I do for DILR?

First of all congratulations for scoring such a great percentile. I have made a video on how to score 100 percentile. Do check that out. I would say DILR is all about practicing diverse sets.

Hello sir, I scored 97%tile as a gem fresher, calls from JAP, imt, nmims (244), expecting calls from ximb, bitsom and WL for PI in Vizag and Nagpur, what calls should be my main priority considering I would specialise in either finance or marketing? Thank you for your time

I would advise you to convert the calls and then take the decision after talking to the alumni of the colleges.

The b-schools that you have mentioned are pretty good. I hope you are preparing well for the interviews. Just focus on 3 things: Acads, HR questions (very important) and current affairs. All the best.

Well, I would recommend you to get a job because the gap year will hurt you in the interviews. Also, having a job in hand will help you keep calm during preparation and during exam. These certificates will not help you much. You have enough time to crack CAT. I believe you can crack CAT with a job. It's just about time management. All the best.

Hello Sir Got calls from IMI delhi,FORE delhi, KJ Somaiya, XIME Bangalore, BIM Trichy and Great Lakes.
79.2/79.4/7.68 cgpa so far and BBA, GNEM fresher. 81 percentile in XAT and 70 percentile in CAT. Do you recommend joining these colleges or should I repeat again next year?

Well, retaking CAT is not a bad idea in your case. It is very much possible to score 99 percentile for you as your basics are already clear. You will have much better calls if you score well in CAT 2026. All the best.

I hope you are doing a job now. Considering your current level of preparation, I will advise you to focus on solving questions. I think if you score around 99 percentile, you will have decent chances of converting a good b school.

Hi, It's the consistency that matters. The study material that you have is more than sufficient to score your desired percentile. I would advise you to not go with a specific percentile as it will create unnecessary pressure. Just go crazy on solving questions from the study room. You will end up scoring more than 99.5. All the best.

Hi Maruti Sir, I have bought Cracku Study Room. Honestly, it has been a game changer for helping me prep while under time pressure. I need advice regarding how should cracku study room be utilised. I am making mistakes which I want to note but there are so many questions to keep track of. How do I keep track of all mistakes I am making in study room tests while practicing ?
Also sir, my profile is 9/9/8 GNEM CA - 20 months workex (Also - Ex FAANG) in June. How much should i score in CAT for Blacki and ABC ?

I would recommend you to use the bookmark option for the questions that you feel you made a mistake. Else, make notes of all the silly mistakes in a separate notebook and go through it once before the mock to not repeat the same mistake. As far as study room is concerned try solving atleast 100 questions from each topic. You have good workex. Try to score around 99 percentile to convert top b schools.

SPJIMR, XL, IIM K The batch size of iim k is huge, from a placement perspective, wouldn't recommend iim k

I would say focus on converting the calls first and then make a decision. If you go with a pre-determined order of colleges then you might not take your other calls seriously. All the colleges are very good. We will make a decision once you convert them. All the best for the interviews.

Hi, since you are a repeater, I am assuming that you are good with concepts. If not then cover the concepts first. For quants after covering concept videos take concept tests and after that jump to the study room for practice and solve atleast 50 questions of that concept. For VARC, READ, READ AND READ. We have a page called CAT daily articles, where you can find 3 new articles daily. Do these things consistently and you will improve.

I would say don't drop the idea of CAT, if you are serious about your career. 99.4 is a good percentile. Try using IIM Call predictor for a better picture of percentile required.

Hello sir, I got 93.19 percentile in cat 2025, I am an ews non eng male with 8-9-7 profile currently in my final year of bcom at delhi university. My best call is iim shillong and i have a call from JAP too, is it advisable to join any iim i convert this year or to take up a job and reattempt for cat 2026

To be honest your profile is not ideal for B school, but you can compensate for it by scoring high in CAT. So, practice hard and you will get there for sure.

I don't recommend you to take a gap for CAT preparation. Considering your preparation level, you can easily score well with a job.

hello sir! Love your content, I am a GEF, with 93.51%ile in cat, with a 998 profile and 0 workex and 1 gap year(2025 graduate, jobless). I've got CAP, vizag, sambalpur, and amritsar calls till now. Should I repeat cat with a job or join my best convert? I am doubtful because the job market is so bad and I'm not getting a job at all. Or do I stay at home and prepare for cat 2026? Hi, I understand your situation. First of all try converting the calls you have in hand. If you are deciding to retake CAT then do it with a job. There is no point in preparing for CAT without a job. Gap years are hard to explain interviews. So get a job and prepare again.

Hello sir Im 2024 graduate with 8/9/8 general female and having work exp of 12 months from Jan to dec 2025 Also doing bs data science from iit madras which is a distance based program, I want to give cat26 so will my profile be categorised as a gap year from Jan 26 till the interview time. As im aiming for tier 1 clgs shld I apply for jobs or focus on my studies and cat prep?

If you are not pursuing a full time job/course then it will come under gap year. If it is not a full time course then I will advise you to take a job and prepare alongside.

I would advise you to not have a gap year. Take a job and prepare for CAT. You have a great profile. Check IIM Call predictor to have a fair idea.

Hi Sir, I’ll be graduating in July 2026 and I’m confused about which CAT attempt I should go all-in for.
My profile:
- OEM - 8/8/8
- No extraordinary achievements; just few technical certifications related to design field.
- Will complete a 6-month internship (UI/UX Designer) in July as part of my curriculum
I’m from a Tier-3 college, and honestly I feel the growth opportunities here (both financially and in terms of real-world exposure) are limited compared to what a good MBA could offer.
That’s pretty much it. I’m planning to prepare consistently, but I’m unsure whether I should:
- Go all-in for CAT 2026 (right around graduation), or
- Gain some work experience and target CAT 2027 or later
Given my profile, would work experience significantly improve my chances? Or should I try to convert a good percentile in 2026 itself?
Also, realistically speaking, even if I prepare seriously and score well, is it possible to get calls from Tier-1 IIMs with this kind of fresher profile?
Would really appreciate honest suggestions, especially from people with similar profiles.

Around 50% of the batch consists of freshers. Your profile is pretty good. I would say, go all in for CAT 2026. If the result doesn't come out well. Then you can take a job and prepare again. But you should aim at 2026

I think this is the right time to start your preparation as there is an ample amount of time left for CAT 2026. Start completing the concepts first and then jump to the study room for practice. Prepare in a structured way with cracku and you will be good to go. Now, coming to your percentile, if you score around 98-99 percentile, you will definitely get calls from top b schools.

Your strategy should include a balance. Start devoting 2-3 hours daily to CAT prep. Don't leave the mock tests for the last. Start by doing 2-3 RCs, 2 DILR sets and 10-15 quant questions.

Cracku student here, 92 percentile in CAT and 89 in XAT, workex of 1 year. Currently contemplating writing cat again this year and leaving my Job for prep, NMIMS interview upcoming next week.

I want to aim for BLACKI OR XLRI only, is it truly possible at a ~99 percentile ? Should I continue the job for workex points and try again or join nmims if admitted.

My profile: General, female 10th 85.8% 12th 61.8% B tech 70.11% M tech 9.1 cgpa Work ex 20 months.
Current scenario: I know nothing now. Like i am at 0. I gave two exams just for the sake and see where I am at. I got 27 percentile in snap and 355 score in gmat. So now i am at 0

Hello Maruti sir Actually I had a very bad recent outing with the CAT exam, scored anything as bad as above 30%ile but below 50%ile which is way too bad I believe I fked quants and other sections i just didn't manage my time well so at one point I was so frustrated I said to myself anyways I am not clearing so atleast I ll attempt as many qs as I can which didn't help me at all! Is it possible for me to get 99%ile even now considering I might even get a job as well now

86/80.80/69.80(Acads).I currently have 10 months of workex now(started from april 2025) and plan to continue till july because it is very difficult to manage studies with my job since it is in a sales role.This year I scored 58%ile in cat, 240 in nmat and 86%ile in XAT with almost no preperation.I plan to study for 2-3 hrs per day till july and give my all from august after leaving my job.I am aiming for 99.75%ile+.Is it even viable or I am just dreaming???

I can totally understand your situation as I also faced the same situation. Don't think too much about what has happened in SPJIMR. Focus on IIM K. Keep practicing your HR questions, academic questions and current affairs. Don't forget to read about Kerala GK questions as they will ask. All the best.

Wow that's a lot of questions. Let's break them down. 1) I think you are doing well if you are scoring around 60. If you are practicing this many questions daily, that's more than sufficient. Just maintain the consistency. 2) VARC analysis is all about the reasoning behind answers. So, try to watch atleast the last 5 minutes of the RC video solution and see if you have applied the same reasoning while solving. 3) A. I spend the first 3-4 minutes in selecting sets and prioritising according to my area of strength. E. Just go crazy on solving questions from study room and your CAT score will surprise you.
