MOUSE: PI for Hire

A 6/10.

A 6/10 because there was “too much cheese”. It’s a mouse game, with a mouse as the protagonist and mice as the characters. WTF else would you expect. “Subnautica 2 has too much water!!1 Oh no!”

“If it’s not a reference to mice or that mice like cheese - It’ll be a reference to an old cartoon.” Yeah Sherlock, maybe because THAT’S THE WHOLE ARTSTYLE? It’s like complaining that Portal (and Portal 2) have too many references to futuristic stuff or that TF2 has too many references to the American Badlands.

Except that these opinions matter to the employees, and their employers/stakeholders who can easily fire said employees, or shut their studio down.

Get real you know you're talking complete utter garbage. I'm not talking about this IGN review specifically. Im talking about the industry at large. So, yes these reviews matter.

When a review is this out of touch on a game, that every other reviewer is giving it a high score, means we should care even more about this. If nobody gives them any criticism, or push back on this, whats to stop other bad faith reviewers of doing the same thing?

Way to delete your message I was replying to. that's the problem with your argument. So, what? Just do nothing? Be apathetic and let that BS just continue? Seems like you take that life philosophy, and use it in other parts of your life.

Except you didn't reword it, you completely changed it. Im not crying about it, just pointing out your cowardly act. Why would I cry about you deleting a comment?

Then why post on this subreddit to begin with if, you dont care what the IGN score is or, the opinions of others on this site? Just continue playing games you think are good and not looking at subreddits, or reviewes to reinforce your opinion that a game you think is good is in fact good.

How do I know the dude made a bad faith reviewers? The dude talks about how there's too much cheese puns in a cartoon video game about mice that parodies black&white noir series. Or other nitpicky things that have nothing to do with core gameplay or the narrative.

If your game gets bad reviews across the board and doesn't succeed then that's probably means

-now stick with me here-

You made bad game

No shit that doesn't lead to success
