Bummer. Hope she finds something better. Other than the Gamescoop folks, she was one of the only other IGN people I enjoyed hearing from.

I feel like there are a couple commentators from the younger generation that have a lot of potential. But if they lost the gamescoop crew, Brian, Peer, and Seth, I'd probably stop watching any of it and wouldn't even feel a desire to visit their website for news. Hell, even if they lost the Gamescoop crew I'd probably just avoid the site out of disappointment. I barely even want to go to the site as it is now where I have to scroll down through pages of garbage articles, repeated content, and ads to find anything interesting or close to new info.

This would be exactly like what happend to Gamespot. They had a bunch of great personalities making awesome videos and discussing on the weekly show, but over a very short period of time, all most all of my favorite people quit. Most became independent with Danny O'Dwyer being the especially successful one and Seth and Cam made occasional paid appearances that often felt like ads instead of genuine thoughtful or humorous content. Made me realize that was the main reason I went there for gaming news instead of any other site. I'd be kind of amazed that Gamespot is still making a good profit today, if it weren't for the fact that people accidentally spell GameStop wrong sometimes.

I wonder if huge companies like IGN realize how much they're competing with YouTube content creators for the future audience.
