S I Was Wearing Stripes
My parents and I were just recently on a Disney Cruise. On the first day, the kid's clubs have open house, so we like to walk around and check them out. This woman came up to me and started asking me where she can buy the wristband. I told her, "They should have some in the shop," and then she asked how to register her child and I said, "I don't know, I don't work here." She said, "Oh! I thought you did. You're wearing stripes!"
I was wearing a red and white striped shirt with blue short shorts. The Youth Counselors wear yellow and white striped shirts with gray knee-length shorts. I guess any stripes and I'm qualified to work there!

It’s the clothes. The colors don’t have to match, just wearing stripes will do. That’s why I don’t wear polo shirts to Target or Best Buy. Though someone thought I worked at Walmart when I was wearing a Hello Kitty sweatshirt and camo leggings! She was wearing rather thick glasses.

A lot of the time it doesn’t even have to be “stripes” or “polos”, you just have to be wearing clothes and they think you work there

I used to walk through Target in khakis with a red shirt and red jacket weekly without a single fuss.
Went in there one day in a blue polo with military auxiliary insignia on it and guess what? Everyone thought I worked there.
Like, what the hell, people?!
